Disney visa discount with room dicount?

We are booking a two bedroom villa at SSR for may 2017, hopefully being able to apply the spring deals when they are released. We have a Disney Visa card, I'm booking direct through Disney (instead of renting points which we usually do) so I can make payments during the year. If we use our Disney card to make payments do we get the discount on top of the room discount being offered? Or can we only use one or the other? We'll of course use the room discount first but wondering if we can get both. Thanks!

Typically the discount is the same, it's usually just released to Disney Visa card holders a few days before the public. There aren't 2 different discounts to apply to one reservation. The only additional benefits to using the Disney Visa are the reward dollars you earn on the purchase and the 6 months of interest free financing if you buy your room and tickets as a vacation package.

There isn't a standard Disney Visa discount on rooms that I know of. What usually happens (if it happens at all) is that Disney Visa card holders get a few days to book before the general public does. You cannot stack the Disney Visa discount with a general public discount.

I was thinking about the percentage off you get when using your card at Disney. I think it's 10% off any purchase as long as its used at Disney. I'm wondering if we get that percentage off when paying on a package, if there is already a discount applied. Does that make sense? Sorry I guess I didn't use the correct wording for my question

You won't be able to stack the discount with disney and that % off doesn't apply to rooms, it applies to merchandise.

That 10% off is for merchandise purchases totalling $50+ and paid for with the Disney Visa. As I stated before, there isn't a set "Disney Visa Room Discount".

As the above stated, the 10% off is only for merchandise. It doesn't include the room or restaurants.

The dining plan can only be purchased as part of a package. Again, there's no discount on packages or components just for using your DV.
