Just saw this posted on Touring Plans:

Disney is offering a 35% discount on standard view studios at Disney’s Polynesian Village Villas & Bungalows when you book through your travel agent or with Disney over the phone and use your Disney Visa. Rack rates for these rooms range from $439 to $490/night during these dates so this offer can save you up to $170 a night. The discount is available from July 5 to October 3.

I tried calling this morning because we already have this resort booked in September and I was told there are no more discounted rooms available.

Hmmmm. Wonder what the deal is with this offer? Rooms not filling?

I'm interested in the reasoning for this discount as well. Wish it was offered in November.

I was able to grab 1 night (Friday 9/11) for this offer at $321.xx. We were going to stay at Universal for the whole weekend but then I grabbed a V&A reservation and booked POFQ since both parks (Universal & MK) close early Friday for Christian Rock festivals. Once I heard about this I jumped on it so that we'd be on the monorail and I could still get my Dole Whip fix. It's 2x what I had gotten for POFQ but it still seems like a steal

I was able to book this for the first 2 nights of our vacation in August!! The cast member I spoke with was incredible, she was able to change my water view to standard view at Caribbean beach and keep my original discount so the Poly only ended up being about $119 more. Now I just have to convince my DH that ONLY $119 more is a great deal!! :flower1:

We had been on the fence about whether or not we'd make another trip before our November trip (we were just there last weekend in May/June). Hubby got the email for this and said "hey, have you seen this deal yet?" First thing I did was call our TA and we were booked in a matter of hours. Have to do a split stay between AKL and Poly since we're going for 16 nights but I'm okay with that. Instead of taking 2 smaller trips like we normally do over the summer we surprised the kids and told them they're going to spend their birthdays AT Disney. They are SUPER stoked!

I just hope I like Poly more than GF. Our preference is Contemporary but even with the AP discount $968/nt isn't a deal. ;)

Just booked this deal today too! We were supposed to split our stay between 3 days at Clearwater Beach and then 4 days Disney at the Beach Club. Just decided to have 7 more relaxed days at Disney instead with the first 3 now being at the Poly. Our dates were July28-31st and I think it was something like $309/night. Very excited to try the Poly!

I just changed my 7 night WL CL stay to a split with 5 nights @ WL CL level and 2 nights at a Deluxe Studio Villa at Poly. I know there is currently construction at quiet pool and am wondering if these special Visa rates for the new Villas are rooms with views of the construction. Of course when I asked the CM if this was the case she knew nothing about any construction! For these rates I will tolerate a construction view for 2 nights since we will be in the parks or at the main pool and not looking out the window!

FYI When I called last week, the only "availability" at the Poly Villas under the Disney Visa offer were minimum 5 nights. Basically, I could arrive any day I wanted (last 11 days of August), but it was only available if I stayed at least 5 nights. The CM thought it odd that 2 or 3 days was unavailable (but I wasn't - I've noticed this for years when booking regular rooms - discounted - at Disney's site). (I know there is no minimum stay requirement under the offer. But clearly there's some unspoken rule. She tried many dates for 2 or 3 nights. Nothing.)

Just FYI, don't change other plans until you actually book 2 nights at Poly under the Visa offer.

I booked this deal for 3 nights, no problem. Maybe becaaue we are going in two weeks and they were having a little more
Leniency on last minute trips?

I just called and booked 2 nights at the Poly deluxe studios for mid August under the Visa offer as part of a 5 night split stay.
