Disney VISA discount for WDW Marathon

hi all!

this is probably old news, but good to repost, if you have a Disney Visa, there is a discount to register for the Walt Disney World Marathon, Half Marathon, and the Goofy.

currently, until 6/19/2012, it's $135 for the marathon and half marathon, and $290 for the goofy. here's the link:

It's a great discount... But if you are a fritter like me, the Chase entries are not in the same database as the regular entries. It's kind of like the charity entries. I be I called 4-5 times through the year when I could not pull up my confirmation through the website.

Do not do like me... Just print out your confirmation and place it with your travel papers. When waivers start to come out, you should be OK. If not, then you have your confirmation and that will serve as your proof of entry. As best I can tell, no one had issues - other than fretting through the year.

Save the link to the Chase registration page, it will then have the correct link to check your registration. I know I fretted about this last year, until I realized I had to check through a different link.

At the bottom of the Chase registration page, it has 3 links:

Check if I am registered

THAT is your link to check your registration online. It will also give you the chance to check and see if any of your friends signed up through the Chase promotion also.

As you say, it does not show up in the standard race registration page.

Thanks for posting! I didn't know the Visa confirmations were separate from the regular registrations

My registration--done through the Visa program-- shows up under my Active.com account.

Thanks for warning me that the Chase registrations were separate .. I will still worry!! I'll also check my active.com account.

As an aside, i'm on crutches now because of a stress fracture ... But i'll be strong enough to join all of you there !

I'm just seeing this and already register (today) using my $10.00 DVC discount. Ugh. I *knew* I should have read here first!!
