Can you use your Disney Visa Rewards card at any Disney restaurant? For instance, can I use it at CRT or Citricos?

Thanks!

Go to the rewards card website, it tells you all the restaurants at DW that you can use it at.

If they won't take it, charge to your room and use the rewards to pay on the hotel bill. If I can't use it for my parasailing, I'm going to do this. :thumbsup2

I was wondering this same thing. I just checked and the Disney Visa site does have the list of restaurants under Redemption locations. I didn't see CRT or Citrico's but I did see Brown Derby.

I've used my card at California Grill and I forgot where else the first time. I wanted to use it at Shula's but I've heard they don't accept it b/c they're not Disney owned. I'm going to check the website also. But I really don't see why CRT or Citricos wouldn't accept it.

Virtually all restaurants in the parks and Disney owned resorts accept the Disney rewards dollars as payment. Restaurants that don't are those in the non-Disney resorts (the restaurants at Swan and Dolphin) and at DTD. Those same restaurants don't allow you to charge it to your room charge either. Thus, if a restaurant does not accept the Disney rewards dollars it will also not accept the room charge.

See, this is why I've asked the question. I looked on the Visa website, and I wouldn't say it's a very extensive list of retaurants! CRT and Citricos are NOT listed, but Artist Point is.

My trip has already been charged to my Visa, but I have over 500 points to redeem. We are planning several OOP meals--CRT, Citricos, and Artist Point. I figured that I would use the reward card for those meals--which will probably come close to $500. The rest I can use for other "extras."

I'm SO confused! My instinct would be that the rewards card would be accepted at any of the Disney-owned eateries, but I don't want to only rely on my instinct!

Anyone else!?!

I was surprised too at how limited the list was. I figured it would only be accepted at Disney-owned places but even many of them are missing. No CHH??? I wonder if the list is the "official" list but then others that are Disney-owned accept the cards too? I have only $130 rewards right now so it's not a big issue for us. I hope to get closer to $500 by the time April rolls around. I'd be interested to find out how you make out when you're actually there. Let us know when you get back.

See my previous reply: the Rewards dollars are accepted at all Disney owned restaurants. The only exceptions I have found are the restaurants at Swan and Dolphin. I personally have used Disney Rewards dollars at Citricos, Artist Point and CRT (the three mentioned in your last post), as well as at numerous other CS and TS restaurants at the various Disney parks and resorts. You will have no problem finding places that accept the Rewards dollars. Do not stress out over this!

That's all I needed to hear! Thanks! Less that two weeks to go! :woohoo:

Last year, we presented our redemption card at check-out and were credited that amount on the credit card that we used to pay for the package. I think that's the easiest way to use it. That way you don't have to worry about how much is left on your redemption card and whether you've used it all or not.

Every time you use the card, you get a receipt that shows how many Rewards dollars are left on it, so it's not as if you are left in the dark wondering what the remaining balance is. And, even if you do run through the Rewards dollars, so what? You just then start paying with a credit card or cash or whatever your preferred method of payment is.

That would be great! I actually would rather do that!

Jellyrolls, the dueling piano bar on the Boardwalk, would not accept my rewards card for payment. They also would not allow me to charge purchases to my room.

They did accept Disney Dollars, so I just used my rewards card to purchase those in the park and used them at Jellyrolls the next night.

That is not a complete list. We used our Rewards dollars at Narcoossee's in Sept. with no problem, but it is not on the list.
