I'm not sure where to post this, but thought you fellow DVC ers would surely know the answer to this. Do you get $1 Disney Reward Dollar for every dollar you charge? I am looking at the application, but I don't see any explanation of how many dollars you get in proportion to how much you charge.

Thanks.

No I think it's a dollar for every 100 dollars. Sometimes its 2 for every 100 if there is a special promotion. I think.

This is correct.

They also round up or down. If your balance on your statement is $149, you will get 1 reward dollar, if it's $151 you will get 2.

you get 1% "cash" back on your purchases. Sometimes mailers go out with ways to save more but 1% is the base amount.

To be more specific, and what Debbie means, is it's on what you charged that month, or what new charges you had and not the statement balance.

The balance would carry over month to month if you didn't pay off the full amount each time. You don't get new reward dollars for carrying a balance over.

I thought it had to be a full $100 before you'd get the dollar. i.e. $149=$1 in Rewards, $151 to $199 still =$1 in Rewards. You'd have to hit $200 to get 2 reward $. Is that not right?

Caskbill - that's for the correction. It is monthly new purchases, not the balance. Balance transfers don't count either.

My new purchases was $474.55 last month. I earned 5 reward dollars.

No, that's not right. What Debbie said is correct

Nope, all you need is $50.00 in new charges to get $1 rewards (with the first range being $50.00 - $149.99, while amounts between $150.00 - $249.99 would get you $2 rewards).

Yeah, there are better rewards programs out there, and the special deals for cardmembers are not spectacular (tho some have been decent), but after Amex it is our primary card. I like being able to "charge this to the Mouse";). And when you pre-pay your DVC loan with the card, it's all gravy; with downpayments on add-ons and prepayments, a few larger purchases for the home, plus regular purchases, we have enough rewards $ to buy my DD's AP this year.
