Disney visa card confusion...

Definitely will have to look into it... I may try the free card and the 200 credit with the referral. That is obviously a good deal and it doesn't cost me anything and just hope I can get the gift card since I will be paying for my tickets and stuff and will have no problem getting past $500!!

If you're talking about the free and premier Disney card, I'd apply for the one you want more first. It can be difficult to be approved for 2 of the same cards by chase or even 2 cards at the same time.

You will likely have to call the reconsideration line to be approved for the 2nd. Be ready to explain why you want/need 2 different Disney cards. I want the rewards for both probably isn't the answer you should give as while there's nothing in the T&C that forbids it banks frown upon folks who sign up for cards just for the signup bonus and then cancel. Chase especially has been cracking down a bit on multiple cards YMMV

The offer right now is a statement credit. If you know anyone with a Disney Visa they may have a code that will give you the $200 gift card instead when you sign up. I am not sure you would be able to get either before a trip in August, as you have to spend the $500 first and wait for the gift card to arrive.

I signed up for a statement credit offer for the $49 fee card and got a $200 Disney Gift Card. In March I got a referral for the no fee card and that also came as a $200 gift card.

Hahaha..ya probably not a good idea to tell them I want both rewards. I think I am going to do the free...That will allow me to sort of try it out and see if it's something I would want.

The Premier card is just not worth the $49 fee for me. I get 1% back on everything with the regular card and just don't do enough grocery, gas & restaurant plus Disney spending to pay for the Premier card. Do the math do you spend MORE THAN $4,900 per year in these categories? That is the break-even difference between the two.

I wouldn't use it for my groceries and stuff...so it didn't make sense for me. I just did the free one so I could get my credit....
