I just got a Disney Visa Card to to pay for our trip on to take advantage of the 0% interest. It lists benefits for Disneyland but does anybody know if you get any perks at WDW. Thanks

The only ones are the 10% discount at World of Disney at DtD and the character meet and greet at Epcot that I know of right now.

The Meet and Greet is free for Disney Visa card holders. It is located in Innoventions West and you go to the back of the building where there is a roped off tent. You mention to the CM there that you are a Disney Visa member and they let you in. You will need to present your Visa at that time. You get your picture taken with some of the characters ( we had Mickey, Minnie and Goofy) and then you get a coupon to redeem at the photo pick-up for a free 5x7. Such a great time and free souvenier!

I also used my Visa for a discount on the Segway Around the World tour at EPCOT and the 10% discount off my final purchase at the World of Disney store at Downtown Disney. :goodvibes

I was looking at getting the Visa card because I liked the meet and greet feature but I was very jealous that Disneyland gets FREE stroller rentals and WDW does not? What's the deal on that...the deals should match park by park....just my humble opinion. :earsgirl:

Jennifer: you mentioned where to go for the character meet and greet but did not mention WHEN you can go? do you remember the hours or days that is available by any chance..that would really be appreciated...or how do you find out once you are down there? thanks... :earsgirl:

Last time I checked the Visa web site, it says something like 1:30 to 4:30 for the character greet thing. I will test it out this week :)

Can United Kingdom residents get a Disney credit card or is it only available in the US?

I am not impressed with the Disney Visa card. I have never received any information as to how many points you must earn to get certain, specific rewards (tickets, etc). We also have a Marriott Visa card, and I routinely receive lists of various rewards with the number of points needed to receive them.

I've called Chase to request a list of Disney Visa rewards, but never received it. Any ideas as to where this information may be posted?

There are non "travel rewards" per se. It is quite simple .. for every $100 you spend, you get $1 Disney dollar. So.. over the course of the year, if you spend $12,000 on your DIsney Visa, you will have $120 is Disney dollars. You can spend this $120 toward anything at Disney World (as far as I know), at Disney stores, etc....

I currently have $320 disney dollars, but I plan on cancelling after I spend them in January. Just not enough rewards, the terms are not competitive with the marketplace, etc..

IMOP, the Disney Visa card stinks! There are no worthwhile discounts with it at WDW. And as another poster stated, with the competitve market of credit cards, Disney Visa is at the bottom of the list. We have been members since Day 1, and plan to cancel as soon as we cash in our current rewards.
Some have stated, that they will use a credit card anyhow, and with the Disney rewards, its nice to have the extra money during trips to WDW. But most credit cards are 1:1 not 100:1 as Disney Visa is. There are so many more benefits with other credit cards.

Yes the Rewards part is not that great But when you look at the other bennies it worth to keep it and no canc.completely
M&G how can you put a price on 1on1 interaction not rushed at all you decide when enough is enough.
DL preferred seating was great .
Discounts on SOOOO much merchendise.
0% fin on trips and DVC by-ins.

I'm not saying this is the smartest card to use for everyday charges but it's definily a card to use for DISNEY stuff.

Hi:

We have excellent credit (I am not just saying that) and I applied for the Disney Visa on line when they offered $25.00 off instantly on Disneyshopping.com and they said they could approve you right away within minutes and then I placed the order and applied for the credit card and it came back saying "they would need more time to process and we would receive an answer within thirty days" Is this just a scam to get you to apply with the promise of $25.00 instant savings(that I did not get obviously) or is something wrong with my credit that I do not know about? Did this happen to anyone else? Needless to say I was so angry that I canelled my Disney order the next morning. thanks.... :confused3

I got the same message about 30 days when I applied online... the card showed up within a week. I think it's just a matter of them crossing their t's and dotting i's.

If I don't get the Disney reward dollars promised then I will return the card unused. I do not want them to just get me to apply for the card and then give it to me if I am credit worthy and not come up with the promise reward. I know i am being stubborn, but you sometimes have to draw the line on being used as a "sucker"

One of the biggest draws I saw with the card was that if you use it to book a Disney vacation package, you can pay it "6 months same as cash."

No interest on your vacation package for 6 months? Sweet.

we've had ours for 2+ years and been able to charge business and personal expenses on it. going into our trip we had almost $500 in disney reward dollars. Christmas shopping and drinks were free!!!

IMO the meet-n-greet is a PITA. The line was horribly slow (~30 mins on a day rated as a 3) and it was easy to meet characters around the park

we did get 20% discounts on our dive quest which was great

I've gotten a reduced rate for a Disney resort before using a code that was available only for Disney Visa card holders. Haven't seen any other real advantages.

Although there have not been any resort discounts in the past few years, when we went in 2004 there was a great offer to card holders. We saved over 100 a night at the AKL over the AAA discount we had originally been using. I keep hoping that maybe they will offer some sort of resort discount again. Since there is no annual fee on the card, once you have it, there is no harm in keeping it, just in case.

We applied and got the card right before we left for our wedding/disneymoon. A few weeks after we returned we recieved the '$25.00' gift card. I saved it and used it to pay for a gift on line through disneyshopping.com.. Well, the gift card wasn't for $25.00, it was for 15.00. I tried calling, but they wouldn't give me the other 10.00 they promised. It really irked me.
