Disney Visa Bonus Rewards

The webiste for the Disney Visa card has an area allowing you to view information about the rewards progeam. One item is bonus rewards. I know someone who ordered certificates and received extras, above the 1% of dollars charged to the card, as she had earned bonus rewards. However she has no idea why she earned them. Does anyone have any info about these rewards? I called the 800 number and was told that the bonuses are special situations card holders would be informed about which would allow them to earn bonus rewards. But apparently this was not the case with her. She was surprised to receive more certificates than she had "earned".

Your friend may have gotten an insert with her monthly bill that she didn't pay attention to - I received one for triple points dining at DLR Hotel restaurants. It's an automatic earn, so she wouldn't have had to do anything except use her Disney Visa at the restaurant to get the extra DDRD. I think different people get different offers, so I'm not sure what one your friend may have used without knowing it.
