If you have the card, what benefits do you use?

I actually just signed up for the card and got it in the mail a few days ago. I got an offer for a $200 gift card so it was a no brainer for me. I plan on trying to take advantage of the free 5x7 character photo on our trip.

I love being able to change my card theme any time I want to.

I know it's silly, but we get comments on our cards all the time. We both started with Nemo and Crush. I have Tink and DH has Toy Story.

The EPCOT meet and greet free photo every trip. When we go in October we will have two EPCOT days so we will use it twice. Other than that, we use the 10% discount that the shops give. I know they take it off of $50 or more purchases at the WoD store at DTD, but I also know we got a discount when we purchased one of those spray bottle fans at a cart in MK last year so it never hurts to ask if you can get a discount when you buy something. I hope to use the tour discounts when my kids get a little bit older.

Epcot Meet n Greet and 10% off purchase over $50, that is good at the Disney Stores in the mall also.

BUT what we use most are the points. We charge alot on the card and pay it off monthly. This trip we are going with $508 on Disney Reward cards (ordered 2) that I called and ordered a week or 2 ago. They came yesterday. Thanks Chase for a point reward system I actually use.

We use our card for gas/groceries every month plus a few other monthly bills & pay the balance off each month. We've racked up quite a bit of points(600+) and you can use it to pay toward your vacation package My husband is primary card holder on the one we've been using & today I called to get my own card in my name and I will receive a $200 gift card also we're getting 3x's bonus points april-july on gas & groceries!!! HOORAY!! I plan on using the Epcot photo come our trip in Nov!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!

Just curious, did you already have a 200 gift card offer when you applied? or did you apply and find out you would get the gift card after? we have one visa in our family (only $15 gift card at the time ) and I wanted to apply for another but we didn't receive any offers in the mail as others have.

I mainly got mine because we got 6 months interest free for our WDW vacation. Last year it allowed me to go on vacation interest free, we paid it off within the 6 months time frame when I got our tax refund.
Also, I believe we earn $1 disney dollar for every $100 we spend.

For the free picture at Epcot, is that only for the CC? I have the Chase Disney Debit card. I use the points to order things on Disneystore.com. I love it!!

Also does anyone know if Chase for the debit card is getting rid of the points system? i heard that that were in July. i would be so upset if they do, cause the point system is the main reason why i got the card! plus i pay all my bills, get gas and buy other things using my debit card (credit) so i can rack up the points. i am wanting to see how many points i can get by december so i can put that towards our trip.

You will need to order your rewards card and use the points by the end of October. Any purchases made with your Disney debit card will stop earning points after July 12. I use my Disney credit card as if it were a debit card. I deduct the money I spend immediately in my check register and then pay it off fully when the bill comes. You earn twice as many rewards with the credit card, too. We have a rule that if for some reason we forget to pay it off in time then we will cut up the card. So far so good!

Yes the picture is for the debit card, too.

You already got the link (they finally sent out letters with all the info a couple months ago, by the way), and you have the date when rewards stop being earned...but just in case you didn't notice in the linked to info, the other perks like that Epcot photo and the discounts don't end until the end of October.

Ah, but you mention December, so I don't think you'll be able to take advantage of it.

They first started mentioning it in Jan or Feb, the reps then said that letters were sent out in early Feb, but they actually sent out the letters in April I believe. Big thread on the dis about it for months; sorry you missed that! Would have given you more than a month's head's up.


The "good" news, however, is that we won't need to change out our cards immediately; can still use the cute cards we have until, I assume, they expire.

I received the offer for the $200 gift card in the mail. There is a "invitation #" on the application so I'm guessing you can only get that offer if they send it to you personally-I'm not 100% on that. I did ask before I applied if I would still receive the gift card even though my DH had a card in his name and they said yes I could.

Someone help me understand. Is the Disney card going to stop the points thing too? I didn't get a letter about that. On the link all I see is the park perks ending. Are they really getting rid of the points?

Nevermind! We have the credit card, not the debit card. Ya'll scared the bejeezers out of me! We have been saving our points all year and we are hoping for a free stay (minus tickets) on our next trip!
