Disney Visa and Points

Can someone please tell me how this Disney VISA works. I have called and read and can't get a straight answer. I want to know about the reward points and now they can be used. Also, when and how do you redeem them if you are planning a December trip. Would like to use point on tickets. Thank you.

Princess Patti,
Are you planning to use your Disney Rewards to purchase your passes at the Disney Store or are you going to wait to purchase them at the Park? (When you order them, you have to specify, Disney Store, WDW or DL)
I have heard that the procedure is going to change in the next couple of weeks (in October), but this is what I did to redeem my rewards a couple of weeks ago:
1. I went on-line and I redeemed my rewards to be used at the Disney Store. (I ordered them in $20.00 denominations and 1 $10.00 denomination)
2. About a week later, I received a big fat envelope stuffed with these gift cards with magnetic strips (equivalent to what I had redeemed on-line).
3. I went to the Disney Store and used my Disney club discount, redeemed my reward cards and used my Disney Visa card for the balance due on my AP.

With that card is it dollar spent for dollar given?

You get 1 reward dollar for every $100 spent. Need at least 20 to cash in.

I ordered my Dream Dollars wks ago...over the phone.....they arrived in less than 5 days .....I ordered the ones to use in WDW...because we will be there in Oct.....the next ones I order will be to use at the DS....want to purchase AP's...my Dollars expire Dec 2004...there seems to be some confusion with some folks when they order so make sure you specify where you want to use them....

Ordering them online is very easy and you can doublecheck to make sure you're getting what you want. It specifies the place and in what denomination. You then have to verify your order. You can print it til they come in the mail. For some reason, i feel better doing this than on the phone.

Since it's such a low rate of return (1%...1pt for every $100 spent) we use our card daily for EVERYTHING. Then I go online and pay what I spent each day. Go to their website and set up userID and password and bankinfo. I'm afraid of racking up debt and this is the best method for us. You can only schedule 1 payment per day so add up your totals from the grocery, dry cleaning, starbucks etc. There is no charge for paying online an no limit to #of payments. In 2-3 months We've earned 90 points..thats $9000 in spending

gillis95 that's what I do also, except I make one payment a month online. We use the card for groceries, gas, haircuts, school shopping, home improvements, monthly gym membership. Pretty much anything I used my debit card for I now use the Disney visa. As long as you don't carry over a balance each month, it's a good (and fun) way to have spending money for Disney vacations or Disney store merchandise.

I'm bringing $130 dream dollars to Disney next month!

Be careful with the paying daily because bank fees differ. I paid my bill last month this way and I was charged $2.30 for the transaction from my bank. Imagine what the fees would have been if I had paid daily! I pay one time per month out of checking with a paper check, but I deduct all the money I've spent daily from my checking account ( I keep track in a separate checkbook).
