Strange question. I've got the Disney Visa so I'll link that to my account, but I've also got some Disney gift cards that I would like to add to my on board account. I know to get the Disney Visa discount you have to pay for it with the Disney Visa, but if I have both forms of payment linked to my account and I make both discounted and non-discounted purchases on board how does that work? Will Disney put the items that don't qualify for a discount on the gift cards and the ones that do on the Visa?

When you add the gift cards it becomes a credit on your account until you use it up. As was mentioned you will get the discount in the shops since your DV is the CC on file.

The gift cards will just be a credit toward your balance. They are not applied to specific items.

As long as the Disney visa is on file on the account you will get the onboard discounts; and the private island excursion ones as well if you book either of those.

Make sure there's a DV in the corner of your KTTW card. If there isn't, go to guest services with your Disney Visa, prove to them that it's linked, and they'll give you a little sticker. If that's on there you should get the discount.
