I got a thing in the mail today for 5x the rewards on groceries, gas, airlines and dining. It was all automated, I think you just need the right phone number to call.

I got it about a week ago. I am really excited. I usually have enough reward dollars to fund my souvenir shopping. Now I will have enough for that plus probably enough extra to pay for a meal at Blue Bayou!

I had a different code so it may be limited to just who the mailing was sent.

The code on the flyer is attached to your credit card number...so everyone who receives the flyer will get a different code:

This is a mailing from Disney Rewards good for the months July August September...it is mailed to your house...My son got one...I did not...if you do get the flyer you need to enroll your account to receive the 5x reward...jc

I called and was told they they only select a few accounts a month and they can not give you the offer unless you recieved the offer personally in the mail.

De Ja Vu. First I get no love from DLR for a PIN code for the hotel discount, now I get no love from Disney Visa.

I received this offer via email, but didn't sign up immediately and now lost the email I sent chase an email tonight to see if I can still sign up. I think you have to spend at least 1k and then certain categories over that amount qualify for the 5x offer. Too bad it wasn't last month!! We spent a lot!

I got a similar offer, but not for 5x the reward. Mine was for 3% per dollar on my top 3 categories I spend most on each month, and 1 point for each dollar. I didnt enroll yet, dont know what I am waiting for. But there is no code on mine, just the phone number, and mine is dated June 9, 2008. Guess I will call tomorrow.

Ok, so I called right now, and the offer I received was for me to leave my Disney Visa, and join a different Chase account (Freedom Rewards). Are they crazy?!?! Leave Disney Visa?!?! Outta there minds.

So anyway, I asked about the other offer as well, and while only some cardmembers got this offer, which expires on 10.31.08, A new offer will be sent to other cardmembers starting in November. May not be exactly the same she said, but should be similar. The program currently being offererd only applies to those certian purchases (gas, groceries, etc) AFTER $1000 has been spend in those categories each month. Guess I wont need the reward, as I dont even have $1000 available as credit anymore. Guess I need to make bigger payments.

how cheap!! they should have offered that to everybody, since they've only been giving one disney dollar per 100 spent all this time. i just keep my DV for the park perks (stroller, discount), etc, but i use my costco amex or my hawaiian miles visa for my other purchases, they are much more generous with their rewards.

I didn't know it was after $1000 was spent in that area per month. I won't even earn any extra points, dang it. Who spends $1000 a month on dining or gas. The grocery store I use doesn't even qualify so that is out too, not that I spend more than $1000 there either though. Man, I'm bummed

Just to clear this up some…from the flyer: Watch how fast your CCRD’s can add up! For every eligible dollar you spend above $250.00 each month in any of the categories listed above (DINING-AIRLINES-GAS-GROCERIES) you’ll accumulate DISNEY DREAM REWARDS DOLLARS at 5x the regular rate.
But first, be sure to enroll by calling the number or logging on to the website below.

Example for this: Eligible Groceries … for July you spent $500.00 the first $250.00 would earn 3 Disney rewards the rest…$250.00 would earn 13.


Groceries $500.00
250.00 regular rewards 250.00 x .01= 2.5 (rounded up 3)

250.00 bonus rewards 250.00 x .05= 12.5 (rounded up to 13)

The amount of $1000.00 is if you were to use all the eligible categories each month.
$250.00 x 4= $1,000.00…you can just earn rewards in one category if you want…still a good deal for the ones who can use it…jc
