All,
I received an email from Chase for our Disney Visa, that if we joined DVC and had not yet closed, that we could get 500 reward points on our Visa once the closing went through, all I had to do was provide our Guide with the cardmember ID.

Well, we close on SSR on 7/1. We got the following incentives: $500 GC (applied to down payment), 160 07 points w/o dues on it.

When I called my guide, he said we could not get it with the incentives. However, reading through the email received, it does not stipulate this.

Now I don't want to be greedy, but it did not say that it could not be received if incentives were received.

I just wanted to put it out there to see if anyone else has been able to get this. I see on dvcnews.com that you can get this with the AKV incentives, but it is not mentiond with SSR.

Just throwing this out there to see what others have experienced.

Thanks

Don't know anything about SSR incentives but we bought AKV last Monday 6/16 just sent all the docs back today. We received with our April UY: All 2008 points, matching developer points, $8 off per point, and the $500 in disney visa rewards. So looks like in the end we wind up with basically the same deal. You got 2007 points with no maintenance fees (actually better than developer points since you can use them anywhere), $500 gift card, and I'm assuming you got the standard $10 off per point at SSR. It does say that it is not available with other incentives so looks to me like we all did pretty good.

I am also one who was offered a $500 Gift Card for our purchase in late May (haven't closed yet as of today), and I am waiting to hear back from my guide on the official answer on the Disney Visa Rewards, although I am pretty sure he will say I do not qualify. I just requested on another thread that anyone let me know if they were able to get both. I hope someone pushes some buttons and sets a precedent for us to get both deals. And like you, I am not greedy, but they left the language wide open for this deal to be available to those that had received other incentives at the point of sale (aren't discounted points "incentives"?). In my mind it is really a reward offer from Chase for putting the down payment on their card, while the Gift Card was an incentive from DVC.

I am betting it is either the $500 GC or the $500 Dream Rewards Points. This is on the Rewards web site. Notice at the bottom it says that it is not a "Chase" offer, it is a "Disney" offer. So, Disney is putting up the cost of this offer. I don't think they are going to give anyone both offer, but it can't hurt to try.
