Disney Visa 3x Offer...

Last quarter I got the 3X over $750 a month on ANY purchase. I thought I might go over that amount as I charged pretty much everything on that card and then came home and paid it off online each time. Nope...never met the threshold. They got me to use that card though!---Kathy

Does anyone know how long it takes to SEE the extra 2%? I am showing an extra 24 points which is way lower than what I expected. I charged nearly $6k this past month, so anything over $750 (in my case) would mean 5250 x 2%= 106 right?

What clowns work in the marketing department at Chase? They send me these offers that I have never even come close to looking at my spend history! I kept getting the $1000 in the 4 categories, if I put 100% of my purchases a month it barely reaches $1k, not just grocery (we barely eat out and fly on miles). For the latest offer, do they really think I am going to increase my monthly spend by over $2,000! Oh, and in my latest offer the max bonus dollars is $100. So, lets say I spend $3k a month. That is $30 normal dollars and $60 bonus each month. But I am not getting $60 bonus every month since there is a limit of $100 for the quarter.

I am really ticked, Tinkerbelle is going in the drawer for a while!

I charged everything to my Disney visa and have been for the last five years or so, yet I have never gotten an offer like that. I always pay the balance in full every month.

I got this same offer in an e-mail yesterday. I signed up for it. I couldn't find any specifics on it. Is this one for spending $3000 total on the card and not in specific catagories like past offers? If it's $3000 on food, gas and travel it's not going to happen.

The bonus dollars are for those purchases OVER AND ABOVE $3000. You will not get bonus dollars on the first $3000 spent each month. Just the regular 1%. To get the maximum bonus dollars in one month you would have to spend $8000.

I got the same offer. Ill be moving my monthly recurring charges over to another rewards card.

i got one for the fall, i registered but i never saw any bonus points so i didnt meet the criteria. i honestly think they kinda make it confusing and hard to meet the qualifications on purpose. they get you to charge everything under the sun and then tell you it doesnt count. oh well, better than nothing.

I too got the 3X points offer in the fall and didn't get any points. I contacted Chase and found out you had to spend $750 each month in the categories listed to get the points. Bummer.

I got it too. I got the $1,000. I too hope it starts from Jan. 1. I just paid my DVC dues with it last week. We are leaving for WDW next weekend for a 2 week trip and use this card for vacations, so my room charges and rental car will be on it. Most likely nothing will come out of it since I probably won't be using it in Feb and Mar. I still got my $30 for paying my DVC dues so anything extra is good. This is the first time I've ever gotten it. We used this card to remodel and racked up some rewards then. Glad I know about the incentive as we may remodel the bathroom next month, so I'll be sure to use this card. Though Disney Visa probably doesn't really like me since I pay off my balance every month (generally as soon as the charge is posted to the bill).

I got the $3,000 one. No problems here, I'm renovating my kitchen and I have a large payment due in Feb.

However, I think there is a limit of $100 in bonus points (if I'm reading it right). Also, when I've gotten bonus points in the past, the are added after the bonus period is over. So don't look for them until April/May.

I got the $3000 one, and since I just paid off my Feb trip package, have DVC dues this month and just paid 2 months of after school care for my kids, I'll probably actually reach that level for January, but that's it. The actual dollar amount I'll see will be relatively small.

From reading the fine print, it looks like as long as you register by the deadline you will receive credit. Copied from the email:

All of your eligible net purchases for each of these three months will be automatically counted, as long as you have enrolled by March 31, 2011.

I just got the offer too, with the $1000 threshhold. Since we're no longer able to pay for daycare with a credit card, I'm not racking up the bonus points as fast however I do like that it is on everything, not just specific categories.

I got the same offer, 3x on everything over $1000 each month from Jan-March. We might hit $1000. I charge everything I can on there, and I'm planning to buy our tickets for our trip in May soon so that will be a good chunk towards $1000 for one of the months at least. I also like that its on everything and not just specific categories. I don't usually get much of a bonus when its on specific categories, since one of the categories is usually gas & we don't have a car!

I got the $1000 one too. I'm redoing my kitchen so have a shot of doing it. Can I get the $100 Max each month or is that the maximum amount you can get for all three?
also once you reach the Max $100 bonus points you still get the regular 1% right? I'm buying cabinets so would like to get the maximum points.

Did the offer this time say what you had to spend the money on -- groceries, restaurants, etc? Usually, it is so limited.

We had stopped using ours, as another card was a better reward, and lo & behold we got the $800 offer! We are taking the 1st trip this year in Feb, so we will have no problem hitting bonus territory .

I got the offer for over $300 per month, we never use mine.
DH got it for over $800 per month. We'll be switching to using mine for the next three months!

We only just started using them for all our purchases, so it came at a good time for us.

my offer was via snail mail - for $3000 per month on "eligible purchases" - whatever that means. Doesn't matter, I won't be spending $3000 a month. Disappointing.

I got the 3X offer for amounts over $3000. This is the first time the offer I received is not for certain categories but the limit is so high. We'll exceed $3,000 in January since DH needs to get a dental implant so we'll get some 3X rewards that month but February & March....probably not.

You'll get the bonus rewards for anything over your $3,000 made in January. But unfortunetly each month is independent of each other.
