My husband just got his own Disney VISA card and used the code to get the $100 gift card. He hasn't used the card yet. I know he won't get the gift card until he does. But my question is--Will the gift card have an expiration date? We aren't going to WDW until next October, so I don't want him to use it this month, get the gift card, and then realize that it expires before our trip. Does anyone who has done this know the answer?

The cards you purchase yourself don't have expiration dates, but the ones you get from Disney Visa, I think does have an expiration as I have seen a post about it somewhere on these boards. So be sure to find out before hand. Maybe someone can chime in with the answer that knows for sure.

I have a $100 gift card from getting a Disney Visa card. The back of the card says the terms are at disneygiftcard.com. I went to that page. From that page's Q&A:

Q: Does my Disney Gift Card expire?
A: No, the Disney Gift Card you purchased or received is valid for purchases until all remaining funds have been depleted from the card.

I agree with the PP. The $100 Gift Card we got for opening a Disney Visa account does not have an expiration date. The Disney Visa Rewards points card we received for the points we earned does have an expiration date. I received that reward card last week and the expiration date is 12/10, do it is pretty far away.
