Disney Visa 09/28 - 12/23 Code

I just checked last year's thread and it looks like the first post came in around 8:45am that the code was available.

Not that this necessarily means anything, but I found the email that came from Disney Visa last year and it came out on Monday, 8/13 at 2:22pm.

It always seems like the code is known before the emails come out, but I'm still hoping.....

I booked with the code last year, and I remember it did come out later in the day--I didn't get it until thankfully DD was down for her nap (which is in the afternoon) so here's to hoping!!! Has anyone been able to find out info on how much the discount was last year? I can't find any of my info that I had written out, and can't remember.

I'm not sure what the percentage was but we saved $480 on a 6 night stay in a preferred room at CBR.

The email from last year was "5 night/6 day Select Disney Value Resort Package $362 per adult...available for most stays 9/30/07-11/19/07, 11/24/07-11/28/08, 12/08/07-12/23/07" also said would be available to the general public on 08/16/07. Have to book by 09/26/07.

Last year, I booked ours around 8 in the morning. People would call first thing in the morning everyday for a couple of weeks straight. Then they would post if anything was available yet. Then that Monday morning people posted that they called and received a discount. I tried it and it worked. There wasn't anything posted officially about the code until later that day. It saved us around $700 last year on a AKL savannah view room.

I really want to see what the code is so that I can decide what to do. We have ressies at POR for November 16-23. I would love to save $$ or maybe upgrade somehow!

Does anyone know if you can use DVC for the family suites at ASMu or the Family Cabins?? We love the idea of POR, but having more room would be great too!
Trying to figure out what to do if and when the code does come out!

It was my understanding that even if they know a discount, they can't tell you. I seem to remember reading stories of those that had the wrong code but there was a code, and CRO would not give it to them.

I'm not quite ready to give up this AM.

Any chance you asked them when the Visa code would be coming out? I wonder if they would answer that question.

It's going to be a long week if they don't release today!

LOVE YOUR RED SOX LOGO!!!!! I called Disney this morning and still no Disney Visa code in view. She said that they usually know two days before and so far... nothing I got one last year around this time and the savings paid for our dining plan. I guess we just have to spend time calling Disney and eventually we will connect with a code. I need to send my payment balance in next week, so I hope there is a code before then.

So, there's the rumor of the general public discount coming out on Thursday - do you think they'd release that without a Visa code first?? That's one of the perks of having the card, IMO. I imagine when the general public code hits, the phones will be crazy....

I don't intend for this to sound mean - but everyone should try to relax about it. I remember going crazy about it for the first time last year - but it came, I saved and conquered!

This year, I know it'll come when it comes and I'll get the discount then. No sense in going crazy.

Ok I'm keeping the DIS here all morning and checking my email and the like. With everything else in "life" going on, we could really use some money to be saved here! Not going "crazy" just yet...but by next week I might as we'll be on vacation and won't be able to check the DIS nearly as often let alone get cell service to make the call!!

What's your guess about it being available for the Poly during 12/7-12/14?

Others have said it won't apply to the Poly and that other code blocked out those dates.....

I hope if it does come out today, someone is kind enough to post it here. Can you do that? Since it is only for a certain group of people? I am at work and can't check my hotmail account which is the email I have on file. Would love a bit of a discount. All of my savings efforts the past few months have been sabotaged by things breaking around the house.
