I'm planning a Disney vacation for the week before Halloween for my family. Now there is no discounts out yet for Oct. so my question is should I pay for the entire trip and if there is any deals will I still be able to get them? Or should I pay half and wait for the deals to come out for that month? I looked on another site to see what kind of deals went out that month last year and it was 30% off hotel rooms does anyone know if that goes for the All Star Resort as well?

There's no advantage to paying off your vacation ahead of time unless you feel that you're likely to spend the money on something else if you don't commit it to the trip right away.

There's also no advantage to booking a resort ahead of time if you're anticipating changing your reservation if/when a discount is announced unless you have your heart set on that particular resort and don't want to risk there being no availability for your dates.

If you absolutely MUST book right now, then I suggest making the minimum deposit ($200 for a package, one night's stay for room only). You can pay the balance whenever it is due (45 days prior to arrival for packages, day of arrival for room-only). If a discount is announced for your resort and dates, you will have to call CRO to make the change. If you don't have a trip booked in advance, you can just make your reservation online when the discounts come out without dealing with the long wait on the telephone.

The 30%-off room discounts were for the upper end Deluxe Resorts and the Vacation Villas. The AllStar and POP discounts were closer to 10%-15% off of select rooms. Little Mermaid rooms in AoA are rarely discounted.

Also note that you can still make ADRs without booking anything else. You won't get the 180+10 day benefit, but you can make them one day at a time at 180 days.
