can someone explain the DVC to me? So you pay a one time fee and you get a certain alotment of points to use towards "dream" vacations every year? And everything on these trips is then paid for?

If you use the points to go to WDW, your hotel, meals, and park hoppers are paid for completely?

I don't think so, but I know very little about DVC.

I believe the only thing that is covered by points is your resort stay ~ nothing else. :)

Jt I,m going to move this thread to the DVC board. you will get plenty of great info from the folks there. Rich

NO. That would be great.
Your points go toward lodging only. You do get discounts on AP and other items, but it is really only for the lodging.

Abbreviated version - You buy a contract with a certain number of points at a 'home resort' that you get each year for the length of the contract. The points are good towards lodging and as a DVC member you do get a discount on the AP. You pay yearly 'dues/maintenance fees' per point so how much you pay is determined on your home resort's maintenance fees and how many points you own. You have an 11 month booking window at your 'home' resort and 7 month at other DVC resorts. Your points can also be used at other locations other than WDW and on DCL.

There is much more to it and others can offer much more info but that is a small abbreviated version.:)

If your truly inerested in DVC then read as many posts in this forum as your can. There are also many owners here that are willing to answer any questions you may have.
