Disney Vacation Club Member any help from AP's ?

Having an AP doesn't help you as a DVC member so to speak, but having DVC helps you with getting an AP currenlty. I belive the perk is $100 of an adult AP, less for a child. A very good deal all together. :cool1:

With an AP you can get the DDE card for less then you can with FLA resident.

The DVC discount for APs is the best discount Disney offers. $100 off is nothing to sneeze at!

AFAIK, the only way to get a discount on a DVC purchase is to be a Disney employee.

Everyone else pays the same price, depending on when you buy. Prices have gone up since the first DVC was offered for sale. :teeth:

DVC does offer incentives to purchase, but they are pretty much available to everyone. For example, the current "Friends & Family" promotion (15% off if you have a referral from an existing member) expires at the end of this month. If you want/need a referral to take advantage of the F&F incentive, referrals are easy to get. Just mention that you need one and I'm sure you will get several PMs - or you can look in the referral thread and just pick someone.

Perhaps I am missing the point of the OP, but I believe the question is: Does the annual pass entitle you to get lower room rates on DVC accomodations (i.e., you pay fewer points than somebody without an annual pass, much like a discounted room rate for a cash reservation). The answer is no, no such discounts exist.

Re-read the OP's post. Agree with you.
