DIsney Vacation Account Wait Period

I see that the DVA has a 120 wait period for gift cards. I *think* I understand the limitations, but I can't tell if deposits made into the account before the 120 day mark will count towards the gift card(s). Can anyone clarify this for me?

My understanding is that the gift cards are based off payments from the account. This means that as long as you don't make a vacation payment before the 120 days you should get full credit for the gift cards regardless of when you made deposits.
