Disney Vacation Account for room charges

Has anyone used their Disney Vacation Account for room charges such as food, souvenirs, misc Disney expenses? And if so, how?

Nope, it's not possible. You can't you a DVA in person. You'll have to cash it out to a gift card in order to use it for room charges.

Also I read a complaint from someone in the past couple months who didn't know that you have to request that gift card (or a refund to original payment method) well in advance of your Disney trip to ensure the funds are transferred in time. I'd double check the DVA website to make sure you do it far enough in advance.

The DVA is intended for pre-paid expenses, not on-property expenses.
