Disney Vacation Account and Key to the Magic

I was wondering if we can use our DVA at DLR like on the cruises. I put all my Disney Gift Cards in my DVA and use my DVA to pay for my cruise as well as purchase an onboard credit for purchases made with my Key to the World card on the ship.

My understanding is the Key to the Magic is used to make purchases in the parks similar to the Key to the World on the ship. I'm assuming that at the end of your stay, any purchases made with you Key to the Magic card are on your resort account and you settle up at the end. Is that correct? If so, can we use our DVA to pay our resort balance at the end? Anyone know? I sent a message to DVA but haven't heard back yet and I'm anxious to start planning. LOL

I'm not sure about the packages, but for room only at dLR you cannot use your DVA. I tried and was really bummed- according to DVA you can but according to DLR you can't. I checked online and I would say you cannot and DVA was wrong. I did take my DVA and order a Gc to pay my room off with though. I think it takes 4-6 weeks, but I called to check on it after a week and they "couldn't find the request" which I had made over the phone. Hopefully you have better luck then me with that lol
