Disney vacation account and gift cards

I tried months ago to enter some gift cards into the disney vacation account. No luck. I don't have any balance on it yet. This was when everybody was having problems so I attributed it to that. Called and the CM didn't really help or know how to do it. Does anybody know how I can enter gift cards? Do I have to make a credit card payment first? Thanks.

The initial contribution has to be made with a credit or debit card.

You can either make a $10 deposit with your credit card, which is what I did, then you are able to enter gift cards.

Or you can set up a credit card deposit for a future date, it will then let you enter gift cards and you can go back in and cancel the credit card deposit.
