Hi guys
Apologies if this is not the right area but just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
For just over a week, Disney Stores in the UK are running a charity promotion. We launched ours on Wednesday in Chester. For regulars, it's the same thing we did last year.
If you donate in store just £5 then a £15/16 disney character plush will be given to a local charity for a child at Christmas (Our charities are Countess of Chester Hospital Ward and Children's Adventure Farm where they help kids from abusive families/environments - each store picked their own). As a thank you for doing it you will be given a special collectible Mickey Mouse pin, which comes on a Christmas Card presentation. You also get given a tag to fill out which can be personalised and will be attached to the teddy character when it is given to a child, so that the gift comes from someone rather than Disney (you can put 'Santa' if you wish).
It's a really good event and I've been working with the people from our charities and they are so excited. I took the plush last year to the kids in our area and it was so great to see their faces. The kids are often sick, handichallenged or have had a really hard start in life, so it brings them just a little Christmas cheer. I know disers have big hearts so I thought you'd want to know about it.
Each store has a set number to donate and are only sent enough pins for those donations, so if nothing else you get a limited edition pin for your collection. I know it's only running for a limited time - week or two at most. I've done mine and have bought 4 (one for me and one for my two nieces and nephew - they enjoyed hearing all about it last year).
Anyway, I'm done, just thought folks might like to know. If anyone has questions, please ask and if you can't get to a store but wanna do it, pm me - I've just done one for someone who couldn't get in.
Thanks
