I took that to mean that WE couldn't cancel our orders once they were processing but they could cancel at any time based on their disclaimer :confused3 :confused3 :confused3
 
I just checked my order status. We ordered one pretty quick yesterday morning. It says processed and we have a store pick up date on 10/26? Should I wait and see what happens or go down to the store in the morning? We haven't recieved anything other than the confirmation e mail.
 
Check your Order Status online. Orders with a status of "Processing" cannot be canceled. When the status changes from Processing to Shipped it means that your order has left Sears distribution facility and is on its way to the carrier's regional distribution center. The typical duration of this stage is 1-3 business days. As a result, tracking numbers and other information may not be available until your shipment arrives at the carrier's regional center.




Yes they can cancel the order even if it states being processed. It just happened to me twice.

order #1 said they will not honor the price
order #2 said my credit card was declined

and we are still waiting to see about order #3 that says will be available for pick up later in the month...

I have no problem with them saying hey we made a mistake and will not honor the price BUT for everyone not just a select few and Im really ticked that they lied and said my card was declined. That makes me mad... Im not sure how they figure who gets one. My friend ordered one after I did and was able to pick it up today... :confused3

Hmmm..maybe so.
Just seems like if the order has gone far enough that it can't be cancelled by the purchaser that it would pretty much be a done deal.

When did you place your orders and how long after did you get your email.
Also, can you use your email receipt at a store or do you have to wait for the shipping receipt?
 
Placed the 1st at 9am this morning- Just received my email stating they will not honor it. The other two I placed one right after another around 11-12 this morning. I received one email earlier today around 4pm stating my order would be ready for pick up on the 26th. My other order I just received a email along with the other one- this time stating my card was denied..

I called the store that I requested and they do not have any in stock at this time and told me to wait and see if it comes in as stated- this leads me to believe they will not be getting any in :confused3

Unfortunately, mine was cancelled..by sears since I didn't do it....that's annoying if they honored this for some people, it should have been onored for everyone! GRRR...I'll prob. call and complain, but I don't think it will do any good.
 
I just went to the web site and they STILL have it listed there for the 29.97..now come on that could have been taken off in 5 mins IF they wanted to do it,,,,they are leaving it there for a reason...well I just fired off an Email to them (not that it will do any good) but it just ticks me off that they STILL have it listed there,,they can put NO LONGER in stock,,OR ANY THING ELSE..but to still have it there all this time,,,
IF theywill NOT HONOR there prices,,why should we HONOR them with our hard earned money!!!!!

MAMALLE----that would TICK ME OFF to the max, if they said my CC was declined!!!

I wonder if anyone else has received an email like yours. Do you remember last year Holiday Inn published a really low rate- like 99 cents a night -something like that. Well they honored that rate and I think its pretty stinky if Sears doesn't.
 
I can see them NOT honoring it AFTER they fixed the site,,but to have orders placed and then say NO,,,,,and to STILL be offering it,,just not allowing anyone in the site,,THATS not right!!!
As I said before I wont be honoring them with any of my hard earned money...way to many other stores around!

thats what really made me mad. Lying and sending a written email stating my card was declined?????? How could they send me two emails in a row and say two different things??? come on suck it up and be honest and forthright and either honor them all or none.. you can't just pick and choose.. shame on them for leaving it up there also- why would you want to keeping pissing off loyal customers :confused3

Gosh ,when was yours cancelled? I think we might have a bunch of hacked off Dissers tomorrow if more orders are cancelled. If mine is cancelled,I'm calling the New Orleans news stations.
 
It will be 48 hours tomorrow a.m. since I ordered and I haven't gotten anything saying it is cancelled. Has anyone who ordered before noon yesterday gotten a cancellation email?

I have not gotten a cancellation either. :confused3
 
I just accessed the order page at Sears again. What is up with them? If I wanted to,I could still order the darn thing!!

I may contact the news too...right now, I'm filing a complaint with the BBB.
 
I was just able to order a TV, Sears is making me crazy, I hope this works though!!!
 
Well they still haven't fixed the website yet. I just got it to come up and ordered two of them. It said that they would be available to pick up at our local Sears in 3-5 days, the order confirmation says October 14th.

I guess I just wait for my cancellation notice. I'm not holding my breath that I will be getting them.

I ordered mine this morning and it says confirmed I pick it up WEd. Went to the store and tried to get it but they said I'd have to wait till it shipped or they would have to honor the price even though they made it clear it was a mistake. Came home and the site to order it wasn't working but see it is up again and would take my order if I wanted to place it again. Haven't had my order canceled yet and it's been 12 hrs. So if they know it's wrong, why aren't they fixing it or keeping it shut down.
 
I really got irritated today at Sears. I took the ad to the Sears store and the sales person of course got the manager. They kept looking at the copy & turned it over- I think they thought I had altered it! Ha! Ha! They then pulled it up on their computer and saw it for themselves after I told them to check it out if they didn't belie :rolleyes: ve it. The manager would not talk to me directly, he told the sales person they would not give me the price without even attempting to see if the price was a mistake. I said I would like to talk to someone directly who is in charge just to see if they would honor their sales price and find out why not. I wasn't upset at this point just wanted someone to explain why they wouldn't honor their own price.
When the store manager came she was loud and rude, she stated it is their policy not to honor their online sales ad and she would not sell it at that price. I asked why are some stores are selling them & others not, are they not a chain & all have the same policys (very nicely I might add). She really got mad then & copied my paper and stated their store would not be honoring that price. I left off that I explained to her in the beginning that I had drove 45 miles to the store to purchase the TV, I think it was very unprofessional of her to have such an attitude. They did not have any idea that it was a pricing error, because the sales person told me when she walked off that they must have marked them down because them being discontinued and encouraged me to call & complain to guest services about how she treated me. If sears doesn't want to honor their mistakes, then fix them in a timely manner ( it doesn't take 2 days) and train your "professionals" in customer service!
