Disney TV at Sears for $29! Better Hurry

I was told if you picked it up already, you got the deal. If not, they would not honor it since it was a mistake. :(
 
I was so excited, oh well. Did anyone actually get one for that price? Are the going to honor the ones that are supposed to be shipped?
 
I GOT IT!!!! :banana: I just got back and DH is hooking it up right now :)
The guy at Sears said they got a bunch of calls on it this AM but didn't say anything about not honoring the price. He even put it in my car for me! :)
If you have the pick up confirmation go and get it now before they can pull the deal. :moped:
 
WE GOT ONE!! We picked ours up at the store about 1 1/2 hours ago, it is really large, we almost didn't get it in the car. It has some really cool features! My mom ordered 3 of them, for grandkids, and she has to wait 17 to 19 days for shipment to the store. She originally only ordered one, then called CS to have it shipped to different store and add 2 more to the order. They allowed her to get 3 total. When my mom inquired as to why they were so cheap, she was told they don't sell this model very well and they have a lot of them. I guess the reps may not have been informed about the mistake at that time. I am wondering if my mom will get them, since she has her confirmation #s? Let's hope so!! :cheer2:
 

I picked one up at the store earlier but I just called to ask if they would honor the one I ordered online and they said it was a pricing mistake and that they were not going to honor the price because their is a disclaimer in their webiste. I argued that they sent me a confirmation and they should honor it. I told them I would be contacting the BBB. I told him to just leave order as is and see what happens (whether they ship or not). I am so annoyed (even though I did get one)!! If they dont' want to honor them we all need to band together!!
 
I knew I should have ordered it this morning. DH wanted to go see it at Sears. Argh. He is on his way to the mall- I better call and tell him how he made me lose out on a great deal!
 
Just a fyi the web site is down abd when i called they are not honoring this even if you already got through it sure was a nice deal
 
This may be a stupid question, but... What if I placed the order online, charged it to my credit card, scheduled pick-up and the store and have already picked it up? Can (or will) they do anything to charge me more now? I have only authorized them to charge the $29 +tax. They have already given me the merchandise for that price. Just wonder :confused3 ing....

I was just going to post the same question!! I actually called another Sears store and the guy there said that he is almost positive that it is against the law for them to change the charge amount without your authorization (signature is only for the $29+tax). If I really thought it was an error I would have paid cash but I thought it was a closeout like everyone else!!
 
When you purchase something they can not charge you more unless they ask you and you agree. If you already picked it up they can not legally charge you more. They can cancle orders or contact you and tell you that you will have to pay more to get the item before you pick up the item. You can either agree and pay more or cancle the order and get your money back.
 
I did just call the 800 sears number and the guy basically said that if you have the tv in your possession and you paid $30 for it then you got a $120 tv for $30. Let hope thats that case. He said the tv was suppose to be $120 and you were suppose to save $29.97 but it got posted the opposite!
 
:bounce: I printed the page with the price-took it to sears- the gave me 120.00 off plus 10%--so out the door price of $10.08!!! The guy at pickup said they have been selling like crazy today. I am so happy!! Thanks OP!! :cool1:
 
I just got back from trying to pick up my tvs and it's a no go. The supivisor came out and told me that it was a pricing error and that they weren't going to honor it. So I started to aruge with him. Then he says they don't have any in stock anyways and there was nothing he could do for me and he was really sorry about it. So then I told him I would take two 13 inche ones. He was kind of suprised that I made that kind of offer and went to his boss I guess. He comes back and says the best he could do was give me 50% off of the 13" one. So I went ahead and got two 13" ones for 56.00 with tax. In a day or two I'm going to go to another sears store and ask to exchange one of the Mickey tvs for a princess tv (my dd wanted a princess tv anyways). Hopefully it will work.

When I got home I call sears dot com and the csr told me that it was indeed a pricing error and that ALL Orders were going to be cancelled!!!! That bites the big one really hard! :earseek:

For anyone who hasn't picked up their order or having them shipped to you " Good luck and I hope that you get what you ordered"!
 
I just checked my order status and nothing has changed as of yet
 
I had no luck getting the television, I was told they were cancelling orders and will not honor the price! I'm totally bummed!

I was one of the lucky ones. Thank you op!

Now if anyone is interested I did see at my Sears the Mickey CD players with radio - looks like a large boom box and matches in the same colors as the tv for $14.99 regular price was $44.98. The princess one was on sale for $18 something. Clearance item. I already had it or would have gotten it.
 
I guess they must all be gone as you can't access the specifics on that item online anymore....boo hoo!!

You just might get your TV for free!!! :banana: I knew I should have tried for this in the morning when I first saw it, but figured DH would have a fit if I got it. Oh Well!! :guilty:

Edited to add: Congrats to the ones who did get it!!! :cheer2: That was one heck of a deal!!!!
 
Well, I went to the mall. I had called ahead, had them hold one. Verified the item number (twice) and when I got there there was no TV--and NOTHING being held for me-- and no one that would admit to having talked to me. I ended up with the department manager, and then the store manager. No one could get me the TV. I figured they were sold out, but now the big beef was that somone told me they HAD them in stock and told me they were HOLDING one for me. So I drove 45 minutes for nothing. The guy wanted to do more checking, and my kids were starving, so he took my cell phone number. When I got the call, he basically said what I"m reading here....price mistake, not honoring anything, etc etc. I said OK, but they need to look into who it was who told me the WRONG info and who lied about holding anything for me (wasn't even holding the small one)

I wish they would have offered me the smaller one for $56. I'd have taken that at that price. Maybe I should call them and see.

But I do NOT want to go back to the mall!
