Disney TV Animation Meet and Greets?

So, my introduction to Disney as a kid was less through the films and more through TV, and I'm wondering....why have the parks never done much with the TV animation characters (Outside of Disney Jr)? I know Darkwing Duck, Launchpad, Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable were in the parks once upon a time, but that was a good long while ago. Their respective shows have been off the air for awhile, so I don't expect them back. But what about more recent hits like Star vs the Forces of Evil or Gravity Falls? I know I and a lot of other fans would be stupidly happy for a Grunkle Stan meet and greet. (And maybe a Bill Cipher event for Halloween)

Elena of Avalor has a meet currently, but that's the only one. They did some stuff for Lion Guard in AK, but it was not a meet and greet. Miles form Tomorrowland had some merch around, but that's it. Generally they do not have much presence for the TV shows in the park, which is a shame. I love Gravity Falls!

Phineus and Ferb used to meet at DHS before construction started we met them at MK at a 24hour party

I know Darkwing and Launchpad meet at rundisney races and there was/is going to be a Disney Afternoon D23 event

I wonder if his 'friend' is training for princess weekend? If so I wonder if there will be any other interesting friends in Epcot the next week or so

I haven't any clue for sure but my best guess on why the TV characters aren't in the parks often is they come from a different business unit within the Disney empire and their business unit doesn't have as many funds available to cover the costs for a M&G. Again, I don't know that there is any validity to that, just my guess. For all I know, the TV shows aren't a different business unit. Just that it would make some sense if they are.
