Hi moms, was wondering if anyone else has been to Disney while pregnant? We are going in beginning of December when I will be around 20 or so weeks. Is there much I can do there as far as rides?

I went at 15 weeks last year. You can go on basically everything except the stuff with height restrictions (most have warnings for pregnant women). Safari has a warning and Soarin' does not (even though it has a height restriction).

I went at 8 months along in May and rode a lot of rides :). Just use your judgement and stay away from the thrill rides.

Be wary of any attraction with pregnancy warnings. It's not always about the rough ride. The design of the seats and restraints may be a problem.

I'm going in about 3 weeks and I will be 28 weeks along at the time. I am VERY excited about the trip and planning on having my maternity photos taken at Epcot. :)

You can go on almost anything while pregnant...just stay away from thrill rides and anything too jerky/bouncy. I'm disappointed I won't be able to ride 7DMT...but it will be there for me next time.

I will need more rest and down time...so it's not so bad that I need to sit out the thrill rides as it will force me to take it easy while we are there. I plan on taking in a lot of shows and doing all the rides that I can...but also doing some meet and greets, taking in a couple of sit down table service meals a day, and getting lots of photopass pictures. It will be a nice, relaxing trip...can't wait!

I will be 17 weeks with twins when we go next month. On the upside, picking FP+ was really easy since I can't book any of the headliners. :lmao:

I went at about 20 weeks and had a great time! I was high risk so I was extra careful (doctor even told me to avoid Pooh ride because of the Tigger pouncing part :confused3), but there were still plenty of rides. I would just pay attention to the signs and watch the warnings. The only ride I regretted was Pirates. It was rougher than I remembered. If you haven't been on a ride before and are in doubt, ask the CM or have your hubby ride it first.

Just be sure to rest when you can and stay hydrated. I would find a place to sit with a yummy snack and cold water while DH rode Splash, Thunder Mountain, etc. People watching was almost as fun as the rides :thumbsup2

Pirates was actually the one ride too that kind of freaked me out while I was on it and after. The drop was bigger then I realized (never paid attention before!) and our boat got bumped hard multiple times.

Headed down tomorrow and I am 18 weeks today!! I plan on doing some sort of pregnancy trip report to kind of give others some pointers. :goodvibes

I recently went to Disneyland Paris and there was a lot more I couldn't ride than I thought! I don't remember Disney World having the same restrictions, but apparently in DLP you can't ride any attraction that has a lap bar (so fantasyland rides and Haunted Mansion etc, were out). I didn't know this and was just staying away from the obvious thrill rides, tea cups etc...well I got kicked off the Haunted Mansion! It was a little embarrassing. I was entering the stretching room with my husband and son and a cast member pulled me out (I looked obviously pregnant, 26 weeks). He seemed a little annoyed that I hadn't checked the park map for the pregnancy guidelines and apparently there was a sign by the entrance, but we all just hopped in line and didn't even think about it because I think of HM as such a slow safe ride.

I had to go sit on a bench by the exit and when my husband came off he said he didn't understand why I couldn't ride because it was slow just like the WDW version, but I told him it was because of the lap bar according to the CM. Obviously the CM was just doing his job, but try checking your map at the beginning of your day so you aren't surprised by anything like I was!

Lap bars??? That is so weird! Especially since at WDW they let anyone on even rides with restrictions (since the restriction is what covers Disney's butt).

I would have been like "omg I can't believe you just said I looked pregnant. are you calling me fat?" :rotfl2:
