We are DVC members and will be staying at Beach Club Villas next May from 14 - 23rd. The trip is to celebrate my graduation from college.

Money has been tight lately and so I was trying to figure out how to cut prices of the trip down. A big bulk of the trip was the dining plan so we decided to not go that route this trip. We are just going to do a garden grocer order. I've already made a list of the things we'll need and with tax and all its going to be about 120 bucks.

We are getting 4 day base park tickets for both of us. Which will come out to around 464 dollars.

Airfare is where I lucked out! I have a rewards debit card through Chase. Every time I spend money I get points. Those points can be converted to money. So I have 183 dollars that I can put toward 2 RT plane tickets from Dallas to Orlando. Well the flight I found normally is 494 dollars. Well you subtract the 183 from that and you get $311 for two RT tickets! :woohoo:

So between airfare, park tickets, and groceriesI'm looking at $895!

that's a great deal! We did sort of the same thing with our rewards points for our trip to Italy next winter. Between our 2 credit cards, we had enough points to fly to Italy and back and have 12 nites in hotels for $1000.

All we have to pay for now is food and a few souvenirs. Isn't a goood feeling??

You know as you add days to your ticket it won't cost that much. So you could probably up your ticket to eight or nine days for only a little bit more.

We are only doing 4 because I'm in a wheelchair and DF has to push me throughout the parks. We are doing days at the resort in between park days so he can recooperate :lmao: and get his days by the pool. This way we are both happy. Although I was thinking about up'ing it to a 5 day ticket and do Magic Kingdom in 2 days instead of trying to cram it all in one day. I've been 6 times in 2 years (Yikes, that's scary to admit) and I've still not done everything.

If the cost between 4 and 8 days is not too much, you may consider getting the full 8 days and instead of alternating days, you can do half days. You can go in the mornings when it's less crowded, return to the resort in the afternoon, and then return on some nights to see the fireworks.
