Disney trip help/advice

One big unknown, what will happen to the Picnic area when the new security checkpoints are in place (hopefully the end of the year), The current Picnic area is outside of the secure zone.

Will it just disappear, or be relocated?

Will it need to disappear? Anyone heading there to eat or use the lockers will already have gone through security at M&F or at either of the 2 checkpoints in DtD by ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe. To me, it seems to make more sense to keep the picnic area since it will be inside the secure zone, instead of the way it is now, which doesn't seem all that secure. I've seen people head for those lockers to store their banned items (e.g. selfie sticks, laser pointer, leatherman tool, etc.). With the check points moved, those items won't even get close, in theory anyway, to the picnic area. For very large coolers, maybe Disney can set up the large lockers (assuming the coolers have already been inspected) outside the perimeter?

What age are your kids? When we had the stroller I would put a bag on the bottom for water and snacks. I personally do not bring multiple backpacks. You are getting on and off rides. Also do not put loose items under your stroller like water bottles. Put everything in one bag so you can take it out for security check and it is easier if you have to fold your stroller.

5 and 14. My 5 year old I know will get lazy and ask us to him him. Lol. And that's not gonna happen for sure there and simple fact he's 60+lbs No way. Soo I thought that would be good to. Bring for him incase he got tired????

I have a question to add. I've been reading about everyone buying water bottles. I had always planned to take one or two of our reusable hard plastic water bottles and refill them. Is that not possible? It seems like everyone brings in bought water? Is the water from the taps safe to drink?

Safe to drink in the literal sense, yes. But I think it tastes "thick" even if filtered. So, we buy a gallon of water each day, and refill our bottles from that.

You can also walk into any CS restaurant (you don't even have to wait in the line, just go up to where they're pushing the food out) and ask for the free ice water. We don't bother with water bottles any more - you can throw the water cups away and not worry about keeping track of them.
