Marriott Rewards, you see my job was downsized and I had to take a corp position based in the field, which means I travel a lot! Which stinks, but it isn't as bad as it sounds. Becasue I get to keep all the points. I have a group of ten that I manage and I get all of their points too!

I've tried to get them to sign up for rewards and they won't they are all mainly single males from the ages of 19-35.

Gee ... this sounds like a regular pyramid scheme to me. The folks at the TOP of the pyramid get all the perks and the folks at the bottom get nothing. Your people don't get to keep their own points and you get them instead. Hoovering off your underlings would not be something I would be proud of. Even single men need a free vacation.

I think you forgot to read the most important part of the post. I don't understand how you misunderstood this.

Sounds to me that if they wanted to keep their points they could. This way they are going to good use.

We also do the medical spending account. The money taken from your paycheck is not taxed by FICA. This saves 7.65% on every dollar put into the account. So if you expect 2,000 in medical expenses, you would save $153 in FICA taxes. It is real important to estimate your expenses correctly, unused funds will not be returned. I usually submit my expenses once or twice a year but it can be done monthly.

Correct! So, in fact, the only thing you really save with this is the $153. Not enough to make a vacation from. It can add to it, but is not a contributing factor. Doesn't even pay for a kids 5 Day Hopper Passport!

Man you guys are tough:

Just so you know, I have never "hoovered" anything from anyone, my team has earned 2 free flights each because of me, have started 401ks and enrolled in ESOPS beacuse of me,
received anywhere between 18 -40% pay increases this year beacuse of me, and 3 have been promted onto bigger and better things with my guidance/help. Does that sound like a "hoover" person to you.

If you read the original post, you would notice that I have the hoppers free thanks to the pyramid point scheme that I am running per ROBINB.

Anyways I sure have noticed a strange tone around here since my return, I was gone for the last two weeks, I've seen a lot of posts with odd tones.

I just wanted to share with people my perk from traveling all over God's Green Earth, some of these posts don't make me feel like a welcome guest which is right next my name.

I guess since I am a founding member of the RP Bad Boys Club, I gotta live up to the title huh a HOOVERING FROM MY UNDERLINGS PYRAMID SCHEEMER who doesn't even save enough to pay for a 5 day park hopper!!

Lighten up people this board is about one of the best places in the world!

Hulabaloo,
Welcome back!
Hope you were earning points and miles while you were away!!

don't judge this board and the regulars by some.

You are a welcomed and I hope you stick around and post more.

It must be something in the air I have noticed alot of negative posts here at the DIS lately and not just on this board.

Thank you for the info you provided.

I second Mal's post. Everyone has different ideas/ways to "save" for WDW trips. I'm glad you posted the information about how you were able to go on a WDW trip. After all, isn't that what we're here for?
