Disney Travel Co confirmation package changes

We received the Disney packet for our August trip today, and it seems to be a bit light. Past confirmations included luggage tags and a full confirmation of our package, which we used to show at the resort entrance when driving up on arrival day. This letter just had the Magical Extras coupons and some generic info. Am I missing anything?

I only received a small book with Magical Express pass and some coupons. No paper confirmation as in the past. The luggage tags came separate.

You don't need the letter to get in the gate, they scan your band. Luggage tags are in bottom of magicband box. Your confirmation details are on your MDE account. I guess they're trying to cut back on paper...

Is it the DME mailing not the Package mailing? The yellow DME tags were always a separate mailing

Early in the year when Disney changed over to a new internal computer system they sent a notice to TAs that the document booklets would change. No more personalization, smaller generic booklet with the mini golf and other amenity vouchers. Supposed to be "temporary" while they come up with something else. I would not be surprised to see them do away with the document booklets all together as so many other travel suppliers have gone to all E-docs, just a few printed pages.

Our packet aka "final documents" came with an insert with the same info as you described. It's just not as elaborate as it used to be, more like a card, and the envelope used to be thicker. I think when they switched to that little discount card for restaurants and rentals, it cut down on the bulk of the extra vouchers. Plus luggage tags now coming with the bands. I don't really mind since all nessasary info (except for golf and WWoS vouchers) is in the MDE account. I still like getting Mickey mail regardless.

Hi there! Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the Magic bands once you are paid in full? I already got the disappointing final documents- more concerned about luggage tags and such.

They generally ship 3-4 weeks prior to your trip, after your "customize by" date. You should get a tracking number to stalk and they get sent super snail usps.

I received my yellow DME luggage tags separate from the Magical Extras package. They came with my DME confirmation letter a week or two prior to Magical extras package.

My luggage tags came in the box with my magic bands.

Oops, you're talking about the DME luggage tags. They came separately.
