I was at Borders today looking at the Unofficial Guide to WDW and the Unffical Guide to WDW for Families(I have a two year old).

Does anyone recommend these or any other books to research and plan a trip?

I love the unofficial guide
loads of info and a little bit of everything
I used it in '99 on a trip with then 33 month old
very useful
still use it today (of course recently updated versions);)

I bought that one and also the Passporter. The information in the Passporter is easier to find IMO, but the unofficial guide is packed full of information. I think you got a good one!!!

i love the unofficial guide! i have the 2007 version & put sticky notes in all the chapters as easy dividers & constantly refer back to it! I love the reviews for all the rides & attractions!

I really like "The Un-Official Guide" I read it cover to cover before our last trip, it has tons of useful info. I am a huge trip planner, (my wife says I have more fun planning the trip than going on it!) it is laid out very well and will answer almost any question you might have. I keep thinking of getting a "Passporter", but haven't yet

We use the Unofficial Guide and love it. I also bought the "Everything Guide to Disney World" or something like that based on the recommendation of a friend.

I like the Unoffical Guide better overall, but I really like that the Everything Guide has great pictures that I could show my kids so that they would have an idea of what to expect.

I wouldn't waste the money on both the Unoffical Guide and the Unoffical Guide for families, it is basically a repeat of info I have found.

Also can I just take a minute to  about the fact that my ticker now says 24 days to Disney! I think I might explode!!!!!!!!

I actually got the Unofficial Guide (2009) from the library to see what it was like. I LOVE it! I would definitely recommend getting it.

I'm always surprised when people don't mention Walt Disney World With Kids. It's my favorite. Reader-friendly, too.

I checked out about 20 different books about Disney/Orlando from the library. Overall I liked the Unofficial Guide best. I also enjoyed Disney on a dime. My library did not have many books on disney, but they shipped them from libraries all over the state. The only book I bought after reading all of these was Hidden Mickeys. I thought this was the best way to get the most info without spending alot of time or money. ;)

I get the latest Unofficial guide before going to WDW. I usually give my sons the old book so that they can look at it as much as they want. Last year I bought the Guides for Kids and my DS6 loved it. He uses that along with his own picture book from previous trips to show people where he was and what he enjoyed the most.
