I'm going to be at WDW from Dec. 1-8 and will be staying at Pop Century. I saw these times posted as a time en route to each park and wondered if they seemed to be pretty accurate:

MK: 30 minutes
EP: 25 minutes
MGM: 25 minutes
AK: 30 minutes

Does anyone know if there's a schedule posted online for departures for each hotel?

Thanks!

Hi,

There is no schedule; buses run approximately every 20 minutes.

You should always allow 45-60 minutes to get from point to point using WDW transportation. You may make it in less time than that, but 45-60 minutes will have you covered.

That allows for: walking from your room to the bus stop, waiting for the bus, entering the bus (takes longer than you think...lots of strollers and wheelchairs), making other stops at the resort, riding to the park, gettting off the bus, walking from the bus station to the park entrance, and going through security and the turnstiles.

I'm certain there is no such schedule, as drivers are dispatched form central locations based on need. During peak times near park openings and closing buses come very frequently to Pop more than one every 20 minutes, but the line for a bus may be long enough that you don't get on - esp. at park closing time. It's worth avoiding really peak times - like rightafter the parade finishes, but leave 30 - 15 minutes before the park closes - or push it and stay past park closing in the gift shops on Main St. at MK.

During non peak times , the wait at most reosrts is more like 30 miutes, though personally we had very good luck at Pop - since it's such a big resort, I think they run more frequently there.

I've only stayed at Pop once - but based on stays at a number of other WDW resorts, one of the worst bus wait periods seems to be around dinner time, trying to get back to a park, esp for the EMH park. Make sure to allow at least an hour to get from your resort to say a dinner at Chef Mickey's - esp. on EMH night. I'd really try to allow 75 minutes for that one, as you are supposed to check in early.

It also matters a bit how far your room is from the bus stop. I guess this is obvious, but if your room is far from the bus and you have to take the elevator - you'll have to allow extra time for that. It can take quite a while to travel around the larger resorts - and Disney often makes the pathways as indirect as they can.

Hi,
Disney tries to have buses pulling up every 10 to 20 minutes, if possible. If you meant travel time to and from, i would say no.
From pop to the MK- 20-25 minutes (the mk is the longest trip from pop)
To epcot- 10 to 15 minutes.
MGM- is like under 5 minutes from pop
Ak- about 10- 15 minutes from pop.

I noticed when I was there for a couple of days in September that they seem to be better about getting more buses where needed than on previous trips. One night when leaving MK, POP had a much longer line than the other resorts and they pulled up 2 extra buses behind the one that was just filling up. I haven't had any problems with the transportation from POP. Those times may be close, they will just vary less or more depending on how things work out.:wave2:

I think the posted times are a little on the long side. I've stayed at Pop 3x and have not had transportation issues. ANY resort bus line is going to be madhouse/mayhem/long line at park closing.

We never had issues at Pop either but I will tell you that Pop has the furthest bus stop FROM each park, be prepared for long walks to the bus stop back.
