Disney transportation for Off Site guests ?

We're staying off site but I was wondering if you can still ride the monorail and other transportation to get between the parks and possibly visit some of the resorts.

What are some things that you can ride, I know there's a boat that takes you from MK parking lot to the entrance. Is there anywhere else that you can hop on a boat for a bit just to relax ?

In most cases you can use all Disney transportation, some people have claimed to have been asked for ID during peak periods. As a regular (2 to 3 times per year) visitor I will say it has been a very long time since someone has asked me for Id. You can take boats from MK to WL and FW as well as a smaller boat to GF and Polly. There are also boats that leave from the International Gateway at EPCOT to go to Epcot area resorts. Disney absolutly wants you to be able to spend money in as many of their locations as you want.
