We're doing alot of 1st on our trip this time.

One is not renting a car and strictly relying on the Disney Bus Transportation (hopefully).

We also need to rent 2 electric scooters to be delivered at our resort.
Any company recommendations ?

Also, how is it with taking the scooters onto the Disney Buses ?
Is it a hassle ?

We'll be staying at the CBR.

Has anyone tried taking taxi's from Resort to Parks with the scooters ?

If you look in the disABILITIES FAQs thread, post #2 of that thread has information about renting ECVs and wheelchairs. You can find that thread near the top of this board or by following the link in my signature.

All of the companies listed in post #2 of that thread have been recommended by DIS posters over the years. All will deliver and pick up from your resort.

There is also a post in the disABILITIES FAQs thread which is about bus transportation with ECVs and wheelchairs. If you have never used an ECV before, it is a good idea to practice a bit before you venture away from your resort. In order to get on buses and other transportation, you will need to be able to back up, turn left and right, turn while backing up in either direction.
Make sure you know how the turn the top speed of the ECV down (usually there is a lever or knob with speed control - often turtle for slow and rabbit for fast). It’s also helpful to know how to turn the seat of the ECV.

Forget about taxis with two people with ECVs.

Several years ago we were visiting WDW and the family we were with had one person who broke her ankle about ten days before the trip, so the group had two ECVs. I was renting a car and there was absolutely nothing that could handle two ECVs, and we even went as large as a Cadillac sedan.

When Judy had cancer we bought a second ECV, this was a Pride Go-Go, for her which is very small. The olny way we were able to fit both in the Ford Taurus was to have both seats as well as the batteries from my ECV in the back of the car and everything else in the trunk.

So there is no way you will get two ECVs plus the driver and two passengers in a taxicab.

"Chesire Figment" Thanks for the taxi info.

I wonder if there are any Taxi Vans / Shuttles that would accommodate the ECV's.
We're trying to figure out how to get to Universal Studios for a 1 day visit.

"SueM in MN" ....... WOW ! ! ! ! You have alot of GREAT info on your thread.

Thanks for steering me in that direction.
I appreciate all your time in providing so much information.

Contact Mears. They have some shuttles with lifts......They should be able to handle 2 ECVs

and using Disney bus transportation is either you will wait to be the first two on the bus for a second bus sometimes or you may have to separate and go on two, different buses.

We have a wheelchair and a scooter. Mornings are easier with getting both on at the same time. It's not as easy at night coming back from the parks. If you avoid opening and closing times at the parks, it's easier for two ECVs to get on at once.

There are some buses that are easier than others to manipulate two scooters in place. It seems for us the Epcot buses were nicer that way.

Thanks for the info.

I'll contact Mears and see what they say.

Also, going to check on renting a van. Alittle spendy, but might be worth it.

will be to get them in and out of your resort room. This can be a chore after a long day at the parks. Be patient and help one another. Hold the door and maybe move some furniture to help make this part easier.

I would get a ground floor room. You don't want to be getting in and out of an elevator with two scooters all the time.

If you rent a van for your whole stay then you can hopefully bring in the batteries only for recharging each night into your room.

Apple Scooters seems to offer a very good deal on their rentals.

If you can I would stick with renting smaller, more portable scooters. The bigger you get the harder it is to manuever everywhere with them. I know taller people have issue with leg room; so, it's a decision one has to make for ease of use or manuverability.
