I have read a lot of posts saying that on the last day take your time getting off the ship. We purchased Disney transfers and was wondering when the last bus leaves. Don't want to be too leisurely and miss the bus! Thanks
tchoney - are you doing a west coast cruise? Obviously, yes?
I would call DCL with this issue - DCL doesn't have its own terminal at the Port in L.A. the way they do at Port Canaveral so things might work a little differently there...
I live in L.A....you DEFINITELY don't want to hang at the airport - LOL - there really isn't even any SHOPPING! Egads!
In Port Canaveral, DCL wants everyone off the ship by 9 am. The port opens to incoming traffic at 10, so they want everyone out of the port area before that. Occasionally, there is a hang-up that requires late disembarkment (like if customs doesn't clear the ship on time), but the above is the norm. The DCL busses leave for the airport till everyone is gone, but their goal is to be out of the port area before 10.
Ideas for long delays before flights....a day room at the Hyatt, a trip to Downtown Disney or the space center (if you have a car). There's actually a lot to do in the airport (Disney store, McDonald's, etc.) and remember that they want you at MCO at least 2 hours before flight time.
DCL wants you off the ship by 9AM. You are not supposed to go back to your stateroom after 8AM. The buses fill up as people get off the ship. They know how many people have bought transferrs.
