Hello,
I have gone on the magic before but when it was part of a land/sea cruise and at that time I purchased the transfers but we went to WDW a few days earlier so we never met any one at the airport. Can anyone tell me how this works?
I understand that we have to tag our bags with the provided tags, but then what? When we get off the plane do we have to look for someone that has the Disney Cruise line on thier clothes? Then do we go and get our own bags? For some reason I thought I heard that they all get your bags for you...Im slightly uncomfortable with the thought of that....what if one gets left behind?
Well instead of asking a million questions...could someone briefly run down how it all works for me?
Thank you!

When you get off your plane, you just head in the direction of the main terminal and you will spot a DCL rep who is there to meet you and anyone else on your flight. I think I read somewhere that due to the recent security restrictions they don't meet you too close to your gate, but wait further out in the terminal. Perhaps a more recent traveller can clarify that.

If you've booked your air through DCL, or informed them of the flight you've booked independently (which is what we did) they automatically collect your luggage and get it delivered to your destination. You must put the special luggage tags that they send you with your docs on each piece before you leave home so that they can identify it.

Although I don't recall in particular, there must have been some way for them to know how many checked bags you had - maybe you tell them or give them your claim checks??? I don't know what you do if all your luggage doesn't show up at the ship!

The DCL rep will direct or escort you to the place where the Disney travellers go to catch the transfer busses.

I remember it all going very smooth on our last trip!

Just to add to what Lavne said, they will spell all of this out in your cruise documents. We usually arrive the night before the cruise, so we have to claim our luggage, and then have it collected outside our hotel room door on Saturday morning. The cruise docs were very specific in what to do and where to go. I thought it was quite clear, and had no problems.
