I made a post a week or so back about trying to find a Splash Mountain toy for my son, who has Autism. Tonight my cousin sent me this link, and even though it isn't Splash Mountain, it may be something he would just love.

My only concern is the quality. My cousin said she saw this at WDW when she was there in September, but didn't see one set up. So I am just wondering if any one else has bought this track, etc.

The contemporary looks SOOOO cool.... Any ideas?

My daughter has the castle, the monorail and Spaceship Earth. She loves them. I think SE is a bit difficult for small kids, though. If you don't close it just right, it doesn't look right. Other than that, everything is made pretty well and she really likes them.

I didn't see a castle.... Wow! That would be cool... I am really leaning towards getting him the monorail for Christmas. It looks like the Contemporary isn't available yet. My cousin is waiting for her background check to go through and then she will work for the Disney Store, and I will be able to find out through her when it will be available. :)

Thanks for the feedback.

She can use her discount too!

He'll LOVE the monorail!

We had the track and monorail (no buildings) and ran it around our Disney Christmas tree for years. It is a nice set. The track snaps together and I do think if a child was not careful he could break off the pieces that connect together. My son occasionally asked for help putting it together rather than risk breaking it (but DS does have some fine motor issues so maybe others would be okay). Overall it was pretty high quality:thumbsup2
