Disney Tower Of Terror

Here is my hubby right before TOT. We are silly in DL.

I love the tower...the first time we rode the Cali Adv tower it freaked us out. We were expecting the same ride as the WDW tower. They are somewhat different. The WDW tower actually moves out of the elevator shaft, and the Cali Adv one does not. We were not ready for it to drop at that point. COMPLETELY AWESOME to be surprised like that on a ride we had been on several times before at WDW.

It scared me so much, I won't go on it again. My 9 yo daughter begs and begs, but I won't take her. I make her go on it with her father! :rotfl2:

The ride made me even sicker.

Granted, I was suffering from motion sickness before I went on it.

But going on this ride was the icing on the cake.

Next year (yes, I am officially a Disney-holic) I will make sure to get a prescription motion sickness medication from my doctor before the trip (or take Dramamine on a regular basis).

I may try this ride again. DH and DS enjoyed it.

If you get a chance, do the TOT at Disney World! I'm sooooo glad my first experience with TOT was at Disney World, because it is so much better IMO. Taller, scarier looking building, "random" drops, and the best part of all, the elevator moves forward!!! Definately adds to the Twilight zone aspect because you're not expecting the elevator to go up, forward, then drop!

I think because of space constraints, the DL version just wasn't able to add all of the extras. But still a great ride none the less!

Not too scary, go during the day if you are at all concerned (night time adds that little extra something ;) ) I love this ride, my 5 year old loved this ride! It really is so very fun and i can't wait to ride it again!

All I can say is, if you don't try it, you will regret it. I went on a few times and then we didn't return to DL for a while. I took one look and said no way. It took a lot of efforts from my cousin to get me to ride with her. There was no wait so I had no time to think it over. I boarded the ride and was regreting it already. As soon as the "service man" closed the door my stomach dropped. We went up and down a few times and I was really enjoying it. It actually looks and sounds much more scary than it is. We ended up going on five times in a row and on my trip back this year I plan to do it all over again! So if you ask me? Go for it! :thumbsup2

You know I still get that "butterflies in my stomach" feel right before I go on it but its mainly due to excitement. Then as soon as it starts dropping I'm screaming and laughing. Its always fun.

Love this ride.. Yet I'm petrefied of elevators. (Go figure). My 11 yr. old daughter refuses to ride- cause of the ghostly people "Freak her OUT!". I have to ride by myself. I love the falling feeling.:lmao:

I've been to the one at WDW and DL and I have to say the one at WDW is better. So the one at DL is less scary. The drop is longer at WDW and the car also moves forward into a floor. I have to say its pretty cool. I think everyone will have a great time regardless :)
