I'd really like to have some time in WDW on my own whilst my family go to the water parks. I'd like to do a tour, maybe behind the scenes.
Can anyone recommend a good one I could do on my own? Thanks

I did the Keys to the Kingdom last year. It was the highlight of my trip. You take a tour of the Magic Kingdom, learning some interesting history and trivia. You'll visit the backlot where the floats are kept, learn about how Thunder Mountain is supplied with water, and tour the "underground" tunnels. Lunch is included in the price, as well as a couple of rides, which again includes lots of interesting tidbits of information. Young children are not allowed on the tour so as not to ruin the magic. Highly recommend it.

There were a lot of solo travellers on the KTTK tour my boyfriend and I did in September so that would probably be a good one. I've done Backstage Safari twice solo and always really enjoyed it. I've also done the Wild Africa Trek, I'd do it solo no problem....honestly no bad tour to do alone. Enjoy whatever you choose!

It depends what type of tour you are looking for. If you want pure Disney and behind the scenes the Key to the Kingdom tour (you get to go into the utildors…enough said). If you want a unique, adventurous experience that you can only do in Disney the Wild Africa Trek. If it is around the holidays the yuletide tour.

All the tours I have done have been solo. At WDW I did the Segway Tour and DiveQuest which are both at Epcot. Obviously you cannot share your Segway with someone and you are usually playing follow the leader for this tour. The DiveQuest tour is also something doing single is fine since your underwater and cannot talk to anyone, however to do this tour you must be a certified scuba diver.

I don't think they offer the Segway Tour any longer. :( When I head back to WDW and have some time I definitely plan on doing one of the driving experience tours.

My sister gifted me the Wild Africa Tour out of the AK on my 2012 trip and it was amazing! I took so many great pictures and they also gave us a CD with 100's of photos that they have taken. Lunch was included on a savannah patio with views over the elephant area. The truck stopped many times for us to get up close and personal with so many of the inhabitants.

It is by far my most wonderful Disney experience. I highly recommend it.

I've done many of the major tours offered at WDW. From a solo persepctive I'd recommend one of the Segway Tours or the Wild Africa Trek.

While they don't have the Epcot Segway tour anymore, I think they still have the Ft Wilderness tour. While the Epcot tour was cool to race around the WS on a Segway, the Ft Wilderness tour had a lot more Segway riding time, and you get to use the bigger off-road version of the Segway.
