Bummer!

I already updated this in the ROFR thread, but I thought it deserved it's own post as I am in mourning.

As you have all said, there is no rhyme or reason. In fact, someone else here passed with this same exact contract. Literally- the same contract, but sellers defaulted. Anyway- back to the hunt!

$93-$12,090-130-BLT-April-129/14, 130/15, 130/16. Sent 9/29

Sorry this happened to you.

Hopefully you will find a better one. :)

Thank you! I'm thinking of going back to the drawing board anyway. Maybe starting with just a very small contract at SSR. Given we are totally flexible and live less than two hours away, maybe home resort won't matter so much.

I never said that there isn't a reason, just the opposite. The reason is money and Disney has ROFR down to a science. Waiting buyer for BLT, same UY, enough profit in the deal and ROFR.

They probably identify which contract to take a day or two after submission but make us wait 30 days to drive direct sales.

SSR sounds like a good plan.

While it may not be as true as it was 10 yrs ago, DVD's main reason for ROFR it to keep you guessing. They don't want people knowing an exact cutoff price.

Good plan. :thumbsup2

I am sorry!

I helped my niece find a contract that was sent 10/2 it was 93.75 - 160- BLT - Aug - 160/14, 160/15, 160/16 I hope this is not a "small sweep on BLT points" I really hope she passes - only time will tell.

Good luck on your next contract

What does that mean, the sellers defaulted?

It means the sellers kept "forgetting" to complete crucial parts of their contractual obligation by the contract expiration date.

So sorry to hear this Tracy. I think the difference is that I had a stripped contract tied to the full contract. Good luck!

Yup. And if ROFR frustration forces just a handful of buyers to go direct instead, so much the better (for Disney.)
