Can someone give me information on ways to go to Universal for the day from a Disney Resort thank you

right now the most affordable way is either Uber or Lyft, the front desk can also arranged a cab for you

I took Lyft just last week and it was incredibly easy and affordable. Less than $40 bucks for three of us both ways. If we had taken Mears it would have been $60 and a cab even more!

Definitely take a cab... we did mears bus transfers round trip pick up/drop off and it was terrible. It took forever to get there and get back. There were so many stops. It's not worth it. Next time we will just hop a cab... there's usually one sitting outside of resort. And there are tons waiting for people outside of UNiversal to bring you back

Uber or Lyft are the best ways to go...quicker and cheaper than taxi or bus service

With two of us we used mears in March from POFQ to universal and it was good. The am pick up was on time in a van and one stop prior to universal and the return was a coach bus with 2 stops but it was nice and cool with water provided.

FF to May we stayed at Universal and went to AK with 3 people so my dd suggested Uber (my first ride@). It was much less than mears with 3 people so now that my dd has introduced me to Uber that will likely be my future choice. ..

Uber and lift usually about the same ?
Yes. Same basic rates in the Orlando market. Uber has more classes of vehicles, including both X and XL with child seats, but for basic transportation they're the same.

One place you can check is RideGuru. They will give you comparative quotes. I'm sure there are other sites as well, that's just the one I use.

Our consierge helped us set up round trip from POR to USO through Mears. I think it was $22 pp RT. After we were picked up at our predetermined pick up time by the lobby of the hotel, we picked up one other family at AOA and were off. The way back was a bit more of a pain. You have to call Mears 2 hours before you're ready to leave USO. If you are planning on leaving at park close, it will be chaos where you get picked up. It took quite a while for our driver to show up. The park had closed at 6 that day which also meant it was rush hour in Orlando. Plus with construction, this made the commute back quite a bit longer. Overall it was pretty easy, not too expensive (for 2 people), safe, and the drivers were nice.
