We want to spend a day at Sea World in December. It will be just me and Paul (2 years old) because DH has a meeting that day. I don't want to use the Lynx bus alone with a 2 year old and I don't want to rent a car for the day. I just want someone to pick us up at our resort, drive us to Sea World, and drive us back to the resort. Can you guys reccomend anyone? How much should I expect it to cost? Do you think we would be better off with a taxi or with a car comany? I obviously don't want to lug the car seat to SeaWorld with us, so we need someone that will have a car seat.

I would suggest that you go with a limo company. They should be able to deal with the car seat issue.

I am not aware of any taxi's that have car seats..

Thanks for your thoughts! I know that there are some taxis that have carseats as we have used them in the past. We just told the person at the desk we needed a taxi with a car seat. Your probably right, a car company might be easier, though. I wonder what the price difference would be.

Mears would work too. They will pick you up at the resort and bring you to SW. It is $14 r/t per person. They use big buses so I would think that they would have some carseats but not sure.

That sounds pretty good. I know that they don't have to use carseats on busses - like the Magical Express. We took the Mears bus from the airport to our cruise last December and they didn't have any carseats. Do you set a pick up time for them to come back and get you, or how does that work? Also, how far in advance do you have to schedule? Thanks!

they need only 24 hour notice. If I remember right they go about hourly but check with them to make sure.

I called Mears from the hotel lobby the night before to set up a pick-up time at the resort (they had a dedicated phone line for Maers in The ASMu lobby). You can either set up a return time over the phone as you make your reservation, or they will tell you to call them back about 2 hours before you wish to return, & they will tell you where to be & at what time. We did this for Universal Studios back in 2003, and we're planning on doing the same for Sea World this year. I believe it was $14 per person round trip - I don't know if there is a children's rate or not.

It think Mears has a hotline at every resort front desk.

Also, sign up at the Southwest airlines website for the rapid rewards card and get 20% off your tickets at Seaworld with the card. Best deal around.

Keep in mind food at Seaworld is pricier than Disney! I paid $2.79 for a cup of millk last Dec.
