Disney to launch online dining reservations

Personally, I would like to use online booking, and I'm pretty sure it would be used alongside the telephone system.
Staying in the UK it is more complicated - we have to consider the time difference, and the cost of calling an international number! As most UK visitors stay for at least 14 nights - that's a lot of TS meals to book! When I last phoned to make our ADRs I was on the phone for at least 35 mins, with the CM checking different restaurants, different times/dates etc. I can imagine what my phone bill will be! :rolleyes1
Phoning back just to confirm is a thought financially as well, last time it took a while because they had spelt my name wrongly on a couple (accent!), so the CM had to search using the system, and if you want to try and change any it's also a hassle. Doing it all online would be so much easier!
Fingers crossed it will come in soon - anyone with any dates as to start?

"We heard it was to be launced a few days ago, but was scraped at the last minute due to continuing errors. This consolidation of reservation dates appears to be the first step. Hopefully we will see the online system launched sooner rather than later."

"In the future, Travel Agents and Guests will be able to make dining reservations online at disneytravelagents.com and disneyworld.com with this new reservation booking system. The launch date for this enhancement will be announced at a later date."

Anyone hear anything new on this. I just made my BC ressie for December and I would like to use the new system when I can

It's available for travel agents right now, not sure if they've opened it up to the general public yet though.

You should have a look at this company http://www.18185.co.uk (you dial 18185 first to use their service). I use them and it only costs 1/2 (half)p a minute to call Disney, saves a whole heap of money. :cool1:
