It's been a long standing rumour that Disney are preparing to buy up Studio Ghibli, creators of Castle In The Sky, Princess Mononoke and the recent smash hit Spirited Away (trailer), the first ever animated film to win a Golden Bear award at the Berlin International Film Festival. Disney have recently forged distribution rights with the Studio and as the talent becomes more profound, Disney is said to be looking more and more interested.
Perhaps this will be Disney's re-entry into the animated film market?
