Disney Ticket & Travel Agent Questions!

Hi everybody! New here and need some help!

I am thinking of buying a disney package from a travel agent online. And as the only contact I´m going to have with her is over the mail, I´m a bit worried of being fooled.
She says that for her to book the package (hotel plus tickets) she needs my credit card number, so she can call it in and they can charge $200 now and then the rest 45 days before arrival. Does all that look correct to you? Is that how you do it? Just a bit wary of giving out my credit card number to someone.

She also says that the 8 day park hopper pass that is included in the package, is a ticket that´s going to be on the room key. That we don´t get regular tickets, just the room key and that the park hopper pass are programmed in to that. Is that correct?
She aslo says that we can use that key in the fastpass machine?

So what do you say, everything seem correct?

Would greatly appreciate any answer!

I understand your concerns, but I think everything that the agent has told you is pretty standard. When booking my vacation I had to pay for the package in full seeing asthough I was already within 45 days of the trip, otherwise you do have to make a deposit in order for the travel agent to secure the dates for you. The tickets are included on your key, the room keys are really multi-purpose when you're on a package, you will also use them for fast passes. The only thing I would advise you is to make sure the travel agent you are dealing with is reputable, bc there are many scammers out there. I've had great experiences with Small World Vacations and I know that many people on these boards use them or similar companies. Do a little research on the DisBoards before you hand over your credit card number. Hope this helps some!

We also have had great experiences using Small World Vacations (WDWVacations.com) that we found on mousesaver.com.
Great people and wonderful service.
I agree with everything the previous poster said. Make sure you are dealing with a reputable agent, hopefully a Disney specialist like Small World or Dreams Unlimited.
One point which I'm sure you know, but doesn't hurt bringing up, is DO NOT email any credit card info. I had to call my Small World agent with the information as she advised (wisely so) NOT to email anything personal like that.

Um... you might get better feedback if you posted the name of the agency.

Also, Park Hoppers don't exist anymore. That would make me nervous. A good Disney TA would have explained your ticket options more clearly. What you get now is the Magic Your Way and you have to make some decisions. Not sure how it works on a package, but I know on lots of the MYW Free Dining packages people are booking MYW tickets for less then thier entire stay for example.

I have used Dreams Unlimited for Room only and been very pleased (I have an AP)

I am a TA and I work from home. I only deal with people on the phone so I completely understand their hesitation on giving a "stranger" your cc number. As soon as I make a booking I fax a confirmation to my clients so they can see what their deposit is holding. We don't get documents from Disney until 21 days prior to departure, but everything else she tells you about tkts and room key are correct. I also tell all my passengers about disboards.

About the tickets, she said 8 day hopper pass but asked if it was the MYW ticket including park hopping for 8 days and the plus option, and she said that was correct. So I think I´m fine there.

The travel agent is Kingdom Konsultants (http://kingdomkonsultants.com/)

She is pretty know on other boards so I thought I would check here to.

Anybody done business with them?
