So not very surprising my DD15 has asked for a Disney themed Sweet 16 party next yr. I am so excited!! We're going to Disney in Oct so she'll get special time there, but now to plan a party that's Mickey and Minnie worthy. She's seen a Disney character cupcake cake that she definitely wants. Ive got The Disney Cricut cartridge so decorations should be covered.

However I'm looking for ideas! Have you had/been to a party that had something Disney that was amazing? Please pass it on! I would love to hear all of your suggestions. Thanks!

Tinalala: Well do I have suggestions for you. We just had a Disney World Themed Sweet 16 for our daughter in February. I had such a hard time finding ideas but enough internet surfing and it turned out fantastic. We made everything but the Big sign behind the Dais and the Fast Pass sign. It was so much fun. I was just going through pictures to make a thread about our ideas.

Our Sweet 16 girl wanted our family and four of her closest friends to dress like a Disney Character. She was Donald Duck. I bought all of her friends and us Mickey ears with the character that they were.

Each table was a Disney World ride. (We made all of these - We have great friends that help make them) Her table was Cinderella's castle. We made Fastpasses to tell our guests which table to go to. Every guest that entered got Mickey or Minnie Ears (the guests loved that - we bought them at a great price on Etsy). Each person that was helping got a DW name tag (that a friend of mine made).

The favors were Mickey Rice Crispie Treats and a bag of personalized M&Ms. Also all the kids got a Disney themed pez dispenser.

We had two lamp posts when you entered with signs for which side the rides were on.

Her candle lighting ceremony was the best idea. We made her name out of Disney characters then we had 17 Luminary bags around it. My aunt had just spent about 9 months suffering from an aggressive cancer. She is now doing great so my daughter wanted to have a luminary for each person lighting a candle and then we donated the bags for our local Relay for Life Event in Honor of someone close to that person that died from cancer or who had beat cancer.

The dance she had with my husband and my father was a Disney song. Also all of her candle lighting ceremony songs were Disney songs. Plus we all were announced in to the Electric Light Parade - that was great.

Any other questions you can PM me. We love talking about it.

Here are some pictures. I have many more - so let me know what else you would like to see. We would love to help.

Christine
