Disney themed parlor and sunroom - ideas??

I have a parlor (or is it parlour? who knows!) and a sunroom that are connected by a double-sided fireplace. Sounds cool in theory, but that fact it that I never use either room!! The parlor is small (and therefore undecorated) and since you have to walk thru the parlor to get to the sunroom, we just never go in there!!

Sooooo....I just got a Kinkade Disney painting, and was thinking of putting it over the fireplace in the parlor. Then I really started brainstorming, and came up with the idea of making the rooms disney themed. I don't want to overdo it, just a few Disney touches!

So here is what I'm thinking!

This is the parlor (looking into the sunroom):

There is a bay window (not seen in pic) where I am thinking of putting a small carousel horse like this:

Also for the parlor, am thinking of getting a small curio to hold some lenox disney figurines (I only own a couple, so I'd have to get more!).

Have no idea what kind of furniture to get! Not much room, so maybe a small fancy sofa? Would love something that looks like Cinderalla would use!

Then for the sunroom (pic of sunroom looking thru to parlor):

I'm planning on doing a "beach club" type theme in the sunroom, with blue walls, white beadboard, and white wicker furniture.

These pics were taken when the walls were still white! Unfortunately, they aren't white anymore, which means a lot of priming and paining in my future! LOL!!!

Does anyone have any ideas for decor? Even better would be pics of something you've done similar!!!!

let me just start off by saying your home looks beautiful. i love that idea and think what you have planned would be so cool. have you ever been to the boardwalk? the decorating they have would look awesome in your room,maybe you can copy some of their ideas. there is a site called ownthemagic.com and you can buy items from the resorts on there. i would definetly keep it subtle, a few disney accents here and there. please show pics when your done,would love to see them,i'm a big disney fan and have alot of disney themed things in my house as well.

Your house is beautiful!

It seems we have different taste (not saying your's isn't nice, just different from mine), but I wanted to do a subtle Disney theme in my son's bathroom and his shower curtain is a world map, so I enlarged some pictures taken in the World Showcase and Animal Kingdom, framed them, and hung them in there.

Just wanted to let you know that the BC just had a lobby refurb....perhaps that site will be selling some of the old furniture.

I LOVE disney, don't get me wrong...and I actually have my Home Office Disney

....but if that were me....OH the gorgeous Reading Room I'd have.....the light, the fireplace ...get me a chaise and a comfy throw with a full wall of BOOKS, Just heavenly....but thats just me............
