I live in Australia so unfortunately we are unable to order or access a lot of Disney products to buy online. On my last trip to Scotland my beloved Disney hard sided carry on suitcase broke and I am unable to find a replacement here in Australia. I was wondering if anyone has seen roller carry on size suitcases either in the parks or in the hotel shops recently. If I know I can buy one once I am in the US then I will just use a fold up carry on for the inbound trip and buy myself a new case once I arrive. Would love to hear from anyone who has sighted any.

I saw some in Acorn Gifts at Grand Californian last month. They were hard sided, had both a carry on size and a checked bag size.

Almost 100% guaranteed you will find it in the hotel gift shop, but if they have ran out, ask, they will call around to other Disney stores and find you some.

Also, don’t know how long you are here for, but Amazon US has numerous options and will ship to your hotel in a matter of 1 or 2 days. I do this all the time.

Oh wow thats an awesome tip. We will be staying at the Pixar Place for 2 nights and the DH Villas for 7 nights so plenty of time to get a delivery. Thank you so much. I see so many great designs on Amazon USA but we just can't order them in Australia, they won't ship them to us here. We have a few days in Hawaii first up then a few days in San Francisco so I can check out what they have as we travel and then order. Ooh now I am really excited. Thanks so much for the info.

Thanks for the feedback. Knowing now I can ship from Amazon to our hotel (we are staying a total of 9 nights) I think on my first day I will check out what is available onsite and compare that with what Amazon has for sale and then I can choose. Thanks again.

my pleasure, now pro tip and I don't know if its possible from Australia, but I often order things BEFORE I get to a hotel, for them to be there on my arrival. I call the hotel before and ask what address to use, just put attention: Guest Name (guest). Sometimes you have to ask the front desk when you arrive, sometimes you don't. But it's always been there waiting, even if it's been sitting there for days. It's a trick I used when I want a surprise to be waiting for my wife.

Thank you for that extra tip. I was wondering if that tip would work with the Disney site itself. It would be great if we could order our Magic Bands before hand and have them waiting for us at the hotel when we check in. I really like some of the designs they have available online and some may not be available in the stores at DL so it would be great if we could order them beforehand.

So.. yes I have had things shipped to the Polynesian, but typically you can order magic bands with your actual disney reservation...and I hear you on the designs, but there is something about a band specific to your stay. of course you are talking to someone with almost a dozen bands lol

edit: actually now that I think about it, back to your actual request, I had a suitcase shipped to the Polynesian because I picked up more souvenirs than planned, and I planned for a LOT. darn you Trader Sam's Grog Grotto and your irresistible mugs! I was informed it was there, but had to request it brought out from the shipping room because it was so big. The guy smiled at me as if it wasn't the first time they handed over a suit case from amazon lol

I think thats really funny. I only want a carry on hand luggage size so that won't be such a big delivery.

I think the Magic Bands pre order with your reservation may only be available to US residents and not overseas guests and I also think it only applies to WDW but I may have got my facts messed up. I might post it as a separate thing and maybe others can chime in.

Thanks for your reply.

Are you staying at a Disney hotel? If so, there seems to be a debate as to whether or not packages can be delivered. https://www.disboards.com/threads/for-those-whove-stayed-at-dl-resort-hotels-after.3947618/

Apples and oranges.. that’s discussing in pre pandemic days they would deliver souvenirs bought in park to your resort so you didn’t have to carry in park. Also discussed is if groceries delivered to your resort will get stored or not.. there is a spoilage issue so advice is to meet groceries at front desk. Being discussed here is packages mailed from outside Disney (amazon or even yourself) to your resort. I was told by the Polynesian ‘no problem’ but they do not deliver to your room, and I had to call and ask if it arrived, and it was being stored in a mail building outside. But can be done.

The OP is going to Disneyland, not WDW. So your experience at a WDW hotel is not helpful.

Pardon moi… I beg to differ. I have had things sent to over a dozen hotels, never a problem. But as I said up front, call before you go for their procedures. Sorry you don’t think that is useful info.

I think that might only apply to items purchased in the park, there is no delivery back to your hotel like there used to be. I think they still allow packages from external couriers to be delivered to the hotel as many people get food delivered. Guess I'll just have to delve a little deeper and maybe give guest services a ring to clarify.

Oh thank you, that is where we have our first two nights booked. Maybe I will spend our first day quickly popping into stores and seeing what they have and if I don't see anything I like I could then order one and have it delivered. As a famous song once said "You gotta dig a little deeper"
